If anyone notices a friend or neighbour with a newer used lawn mower, Canadian tire, yard works, dark green, with a broken but possibly fixed by now pull cord, with wobbly wheels, please notify the police. Last week an elderly gentleman, a friend of my mom's, gave it to me. He bought the lawnmower last year, and since his health has declined, and he can no longer cut his grass, knowing I'm a single mom, and didn't have a lawnmower, he gave it to me, but not before he gave it a tune up, oil chage, cleaned it, and filled it with gas! Today I looked in my backyard, and noticed the lawnmower is gone. I took it out Tuesday to cut the grass and I accidentally broke the pull cord, and have just been waiting for a friend to fix it. It was stolen out of my shed. I live on Hall ave, if someone in the area knows anything please call the police as I did make a report!

Thank you Hospice

I would like to thank, from the deepest part of my heart, the health care team at the Windsor Regional Hospital Cancer Center and above all the health care team at the Windsor Essex County Hospice. They welcomed my (large) family with open arms and made sure my Gram and our family's needs were meet at the end of her journey. Personally, the care team at Hospice has provided me with so many lessons and inspirations that I will bring to my own nursing practice. For all the reasons above, my Gram, my family, and myself are forever grateful, thank you.
Rest in peace Christina Bratt aka Gram.

Rude

I was at the Service Ontario center today on Dougall, the one across from Zehrs. Everyone there was very pleasant and patient including the young lady that waited on me.

The waiting room was very full with many people standing. I myself gave my seat up for an older lady, along with a few others that did the same. There was one idiot that had his laptop case on a chair the whole time he was there. I am so tired of people being so bloody wrapped up in themselves. I am sure that one of the ten people standing could have used that chair.

Karma my friend........

Fantastic Response!

To the Lakeshore and Belle River Fire Departments, Lakeshore OPP and EMS. Your response to the fire on the corner of 22 and Beechwood was last night was very impressive. We all watched you work so hard to try and save the resident and their pets. The challenges you faced in getting into the house,, and the situation you were dealing with was evident. The outcome was unfortunate and I feel for all of you as I know you gave 100%. I appreciate the jobs you do and feel fortunate to be living in an area so well protected by such dedicated professionals! You have been spotted.

Care @ Met Hospital

Would like to extend my sincere gratitude and thanks to ALL of the staff on the 4th floor at Met Hospital. My father was a patient for an extended amount of time. He received beyond a doubt the best care with kindness and understanding that went beyond. I know that wasn't easy at times because he could be trying but all was handled very well with compassion and care. Mom was also there at the same time and she is always treated so well... Just want you all to know that you are appreciated and looked at with a high standard from this family member.
