Good Karma !

Yesterday I was downtown for fireworks night, just like almost everyone else in the city. I was with my friend and my younger sister. As we were walking through the carnival we were approaching a lady who had her hands full and was sitting on the curb. It looked like she was holding some things for someone else. When she went to stand up she dropped her wallet.. As I was walking away I turned to look back to see if she grabbed it, she didn't, she was looking around as if she was looking for someone I thought she knew she dropped but she started walking away leaving the wallet on the ground. I quickly ran over and said "excuse me, I think you dropped your wallet" she looked at me and then looked at her hands and turned to grab it. She was so happy I saw it! She said thank you 10 times or more and as I was walking away I heard her yell "thank you so much" again. I felt really good to have made someone so happy! Later after fireworks I was walking home and I found a 5$ bill laying on the ground.. Nobody in sight. I am now 5$ richer and so much happier to see how happy I made that women! :)

Please be Car Seat Savvy.

It's yard and garage sale season, and I just want to caution the possible sellers and buyers against buying used car seats that have an unknown history.

It may seem like a good bargain at the time, but car seats are something that you really shouldn't go cheap on. There are strict guidelines for how to use and even sell or manufacture car seats, and with good reason. Please take care of your littles by ensuring that they're as safe as can be in your vehicles.

It's also illegal to sell expired seats or seats that do not conform to the current Health Canada standards, so please be mindful!

Firework Crowd Time-lapse

Hanging out at the CBC Parking lot at Crawford and Riverside I taped the crowd arriving and leaving from 7:30 until 11pm.
While I really enjoy the fireworks display, I also enjoy seeing the large crowds.

Everyone from Windsor should try this at least Once!

Since moving to Windsor three years ago, we've always attended the awesome fireworks display close to the downtown area. However, since we live near the hill off Banwell and McNorton, we decided to get a view of the city and the fireworks display. Of course, you don't get the same awe-inspiring effect of being close to the show, but to see the fireworks and the lights of the city from the top of the hill is something everyone in Windsor should try at least once! I was able to capture the city lights and the fireworks to give fellow Windsorites a sample of the view :)

Awesome Family

Spotted: To the awesome family last night down at the river for the fireworks who gave my kids bubbles and glow sticks and a glow ball. You made the night for many kids, when my daughters started blowing bubbles that you so generously gave them , some of the other little ones in our area started trying catch them. The smiles on their faces warmed my heart and I got to witness kids being happy kids, doing what kids should do, playing. We were at nation of cultures last night , Indian , Asian, Muslim, Christian, etc and to see all these children playing together, with nothing but bubbles and their smiles, made me even more thankful that I live in Windsor. We have something to teach the world about how people of many cultures live, work and play together in harmony and peace. So to the awesome family who started this, thank you for giving my children the bubbles, and the glow sticks. It made our night even better when the lessons that were learned were so impactful!

First Impression

To the local "God Centred" business... I walked into your business for an interview. And there was a lady sitting at your front desk in a tube top and not smiling or said hello to any of us candidates for the position.
First impressions are everything when it comes to your business, unfortunately in my opinion your front desk staff does not reflect your "business statement" as mentioned in the interview. You've been spotted!!!
