To the driver who hit my son yesterday by running a stop sign....

Witnesses aplenty, you ran the stop and knocked him ten feet in the street on his bike. He was on his way to get his police clearance to start a new job the next day.

Offering him $50? Injuries, damage to his only transportation, and insult to his youthful ignorance of the law... all he knew was he could walk, and had to get to the cop shop for that clearance to make that job to pay for his college in September.

Were you on your phone? Do you have kids? Do you realize how close you came to stealing my child from me? Do you feel like you got off lucky? You did, because if I were there, you wouldn't be sitting smug right now. Lucky he never thought to take your plate, name or anything else. He actually felt bad you were shaken.

Shame on you. I hope you see that moment for months to come in your sleep. I know he is.

My son had a dental emergency tonight. I drove by the dental clinic and amazingly enough they took my son in at 8pm on Canada day! Wanted say a big THANK YOU to Essex Dental and Dr.Stefano Storey!!!!!

Today, and many other days, Brian and Heidi have been spotted. They are the owners of the Bulk Barn on Manning road. Every time I go there they are so friendly and knowledgeable. Today I was making a cake and realized that I was out of fondant. I called Bulk Barn in hopes they would be open and I got Brian on the phone very pleasantly reporting their hours today. I was helped with A+ service while shopping. They are always so wonderful to the customers and serve everyone with respect. It makes a huge difference, and people notice. Thank you Brian and Heidi!

A HUGE thank you goes out to the two men who helped me out of a troubling situation today while I was at the car wash on Wyandotte Street (near Walker). You were both so quick to lend a hand and offer advice on how best NOT to damage the underside of my car after I made the brilliant move of driving right over a cement divider! You both had enough wisdom and kindness to direct me to put my car in neutral so the two of you could push me off of the divider. All I can say is that the world needs more considerate people, and I for one think the two of you should feel good about helping out a complete stranger in her "not so brilliant moment of need". Thank you from the lady who was just on a mission to clean her car......U guys rock!!!

During the ride home on my brothers wedding day in the rental car the low tire light came on. He pulled over to realize that the back tire was flat right to the ground
He threw his tux jacket down and prepared to change the tire.
A nice man had stopped. He said he was driving by and had to turn around to help my brother because he wouldn't want to be changing a tire on his wedding day

I went out this morning and was pleasantly surprised to see flags on all my neighbours' lawns. Standing on the sidewalk, I could see them in both directions from one end of the block to the other. I'm not sure why my yard was the only one without a flag. Maybe someone is trying to tell me something! :(
