Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
Kudos to the Transit Windsor bus driver I spotted today at 4:00 at the corner of Howard ave and Lake Trail. There was a woman running to the bus stop but still a fair distance away. Not only did you see her (which surprised me based on you driving on Howard and she was still on Lake Trail), but you stopped the bus, got out and walked towards her so she could stop sprinting. You went above and beyond today! Great job!
just saw something nice three hours ago a man with his car which was stalled at Tecumseh and Southfield Drive two men came running out of Tim Hortons pushed the stalled car in the Spitfire Firkin parking lot . Great Job Guys
A few weeks ago, I took my dog for a bush walk by the children's Safety village. It was very hot that day so I let him off leash to cool off in the water. After a few minutes of romping around he sliced his paw pad open on something in the water. Since I was pretty far in the bush and the cut was really bad, I had to carry him out. Luckily my dog is still a puppy and weighed no more then 25 pounds. But I was 20 minutes from home, and there was no way I could make it. We were both very stressed so I called out for help. A man pulled over and offered to take us to his vets. He covered my dogs paw and helped us into the seat, without a concern about the mess we would make in his vehicle! All I know was his name was Jim, he later called the vet and gave them a number to contact him with, but it was out of service or the wrong number? If anyone knows a Jim that lives in the forest glade area and drives a black SUV type of car, I know that he has two dogs and attends the same vet (Forest Glade animal hospital) of his own but that is all. I have a gift for this man. Who helped us in our time of need!!!
My pup is almost completely healed and his stitches should be out Monday.
At 5pm today while shopping in the Dollarama at Central Mall I was stunned to hear a woman screaming in the next isle over. I thought she nust be on a cell arguing and thought 'Wow, keep your voice down woman!' Only to find out as I turned to the isle she was in that she was screaming at a young man in the store. The language, tone of voice, and complete abnoxious behaviour from this woman was all due to the man politely asking if he could pass her as there was a ladder taking up half the isle. There is NO need to drop *f-bombs*, use the term "you retarded idiot" or other profanity when in public places. Get a grip woman! The use of the "R" word needs to be removed from your vocabularu completely along with some other choice words i heard spill out of your disgusting mouth. You been spotted bc you should be ashamed of yourself and the scene that others were FORCED to witness because of your own personal issues. I would suggest you seek professional help to control your completelt unnessessary anger issues. I sure hope you see this and understand what a fool you have made of yourself as nobody thought you were big, bad, or tough. You looked ridiculous and should be ashamed of your erratic behaviour.
To the young man who had to endure the wrath of this crazy woman. Way to handle yourself with integrety. You showed a lot if class not retaliating when so many would have.
To the staff at Dollarama, this woman should have been escorted out and not welcomed back.
To the Bell Service Provider driving a white van today on Highway 18 near Turkey Creek bend, it is NOT okay to text while driving or read your text, whichever! NOT COOL!
On 22 June, there was a military ceremony to dedicate a memorial to Rear Admiral Walter Hose. Admiral Hose is considered the father of the Naval Reserves in Canada and he died and was buried in Windsor ON. He had a very humble and unassuming stone on his burial plot. 2 Years ago, a committee was formed to raise funds to honour him. This is the stone.
around 4 oclock today I witnessed 2 little blonde girls and a guy in with a large herby kerby with what looked like a water tank inside just walking down droulard to bring it to the scrap metal place. gotta make money somehow and they were deffinatly making money
