Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
Today my son and I were coming from goodlife and we spotted 2 little girls with a giant sign selling drinks. I was so excited that I pull along side them and asked them how much they were selling the drinks. They told me 2 dollars even though I though that was a bit high I scrounge for 2 dollars in my car and thank them I did tell them if they lowered their price they may get more costumers .The little girl replied that they only had enough for 6 cups. And they wanted to but more so they had to make enough. I thought this was so adorable.
As I was driving away I overheard a man in his thirtys walking his young son say how much for the drinks and the young girl and she replied 2 dollar and the man. He replied very rudely to the girls that he could get a drink much cheaper at Macs milk. I thought the two girls were going to cry how rude of that man and what a bad example he was settling for his son. One day I hope those girls have the biggest local business in Windsor and hope the shew him out of their store ;)

About 2:35 pm on Tuesday southbound on Dougall near Norfolk, an Ambulance, sirens blaring, but no lights flashing. Yes we can hear you but we are trying frantically to find you to make sure we are not in the way. Lights are easily spotted but having to take our eyes off the road to actually look for a specific vehicle is dangerous, especially with the traffic on this stretch of road at that time of day. Emergency Vehicles are equipped with sirens AND lights for a reason.
To the young mom in WalMart East on Tecumseh who's son was having a fit because she wouldn't buy him all the things he wanted. I wanted to tell you that it gets better and when he told you everyone was going to be mad at you for not buying what he wants that in fact everyone will be proud of you for resisting buying anything as he was not entitled. Too many kids these days walk around getting everything they want because parents want them to have everything (they didn't). When in fact you will do him a favour later in life by teaching him how to accept 'no' and how to 'earn' something by not screaming for it. No ONE will think you are a bad mom because you said no to him. Other moms watching were cheering you on for trying to talk to him and reason with him and even though it's hard right now, what you are doing is really good and he will become a better person because of your good parenting skills. Keep it up, You've been spotted.
This beautiful young female brindle mastiff was picked up by animal control in Harrow yesterday morning July 14th at around 9:30am out on the 13th concession. She is currently at the lakeshore pound and as you can see by the pictures she is terrified. She has a docked tail. I hope someone on here will recognize her. If she isn't claimed she will be placed for adoption pending a behaviour assessment. The pound phone number is 519-727-6495
Earlier today, right by the bus terminal
A lady (possibly in her 40's) took one look at me and made a snide remark about aboriginal people and how they shouldn't live in Windsor. I'm not aboriginal. I do not know her and I do not know what is her problem. Maybe she assumed I'm aboriginal because of my appearance. I was bullied as a kid because I look different than everyone else. But then again, there's karma.
not sure what my kids found... needless to say we put it back. Eww
