Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
I was at zehrs on Manning Road doing groceries with both of my kids. As I was loading my car, a man stood by and offered to take my cart as well as an elderly lady's cart next to me and return it to the little cart hut for me. It was a small gesture but I was very thankful. Especially since I had two kids in the car and it was raining. So thank you to that kind man. Your kindness was much appreciated. You've been spotted!
The morning my boyfriend was coming home from work and like everything Thursday(payday) he stops at the Tim Horton's at the corner of our street (marentette and wyandotte) and brings home Tim Horton's for us and our son. Well today after leaving there and heading home a car was riding his butt even though he was beside the curb so my boyfriend tried to move over even more and the car insisted on staying behind instead of going around, well when my boyfriend was approaching a pylone cone on the side of the curb that's when the car decided to finally go around and basically shoved my boyfriend into the cone causing him to spill our ice caps. When he went back to Tim hortons the lady giggled and asked what happened to the drinks because he was literally in there 5 mins prior , when he explained what happened they made new drinks and when he went to pay they said don't worry about it, I know you were just here and something must of happened, and explained next time that happens bring the cups back and they will refill them no problem ! So a HUGE thank you to that lady at Timmie's ! I must deffinitly needed that coffee after being rudly awakened by my neighbors :( ...
PS. I love this site ! Wish my boyfriend would of caught that lady's name but everyone there is amazing g !
Hey spotted friends! I'm wondering if you know of anyone that may be in need of clothes donations!? I know I can donate them to the goodwill or other thrift stores but if there are any families or organizations that may need clothes that would be free to them please comment! We are here on earth to help one another and I have more than enough clothes for myself and looking to help those in need
On Sunday July 20th, I had to go to the emergency room at Met. After waiting for over 5 hours in pain, I finally saw the doctor and got to go home. When my family and I walked out to our car, we noticed something stuck on the passenger side window. After reading it, it made my day so much better! It amazes me that people take time out of their day just to do this for strangers! I just want to say thank you to whoever posted this on the car, it means alot more than you will ever know
I just wanted to say thank you to the wonderful bus driver who actually stopped and waited for me and my three children today. We were on our way to a doctor's appointment. I hadn't realized that I didn't have enough change for the bus. We headed out the door and were trying to get to the store to make change to catch the bus that was coming in 20 minutes. Along the way my 4 year old was happily skipping along and fell and cut her knee. Nothing major but to her the end of the world. So there I was with one child crying and rushing along the other two as I still needed to get change to get on the bus that was nearing ten minutes away. I got to the store, made change, walked outside and saw the bus approaching. I still had to cross Tecumseh at rush hour. We got across the road safely and the bus was pulling away. I had tried to wave it down but realized we were out of luck. However to my surprise it stopped just before the next stop and waited. We ran and caught our bus, got to our appointment and its all because this kind driver stopped even though he didn't have to. Windsor transit drivers sometimes get a bad rep and maybe with just cause. It's not really my business. This transit Windsor driver deserves some recognition for standing out from the rest and for being kind. Thank you very much .
Spotted at the mall... Glad someone learned a lesson
To all the workers at the pita pit on Tecumseh rd you guys are amazing and you have great customer service and I hope you have a great day!
My mom passed away on the 6th of this month from brain cancer and my father himself has also been suffering from bone cancer for the past 5 years and is unable to work because of this. He had to mortgage his home to be able to afford the costs of the funeral. I'm hosting a benefit this Sunday July 27th at 1806 Meldrum to help my father with the expenses. Anyone is welcomed and any other donations as well can be sent to myself.
