Fixed it, now I know why that dog was on the roof!!!

He was pledged with the duty of protecting this city from evil do-ers, keeping an eye out standing majestically at his lookout tower.

Dog on a Roof

My mom and I were driving down Wyandotte near dowtown, and saw this! We were worried at first, but I spoke to some guys working at the auto repair place next door and they told me, "oh yeah, he's always up there, it's his hideout". We laughed and laughed! Funny puppy!

Music For Memories Fundraiser

I want to Congratulate the SSW Gerontology club of St. Clair College on a Successful Fundraiser at The Scottish Club of Windsor. They ran a fundraiser for Music and Memories to raise money to purchase iPod's and mp 3's players for people with Alzheimer's, dementia and other behavioural issues. Music helps in calming them and is a universal tool of communication. The night was a huge success and the club should be very proud of everything they did to pull this event together. The entertainment was fantastic and they had a wide variety of raffle prizes. All in all a wonderful event and great time had by all.

Guardian angels

To the couple that picked my elderly mother up in the bitter cold this past Wednesday, nov 12th. She suffers from Alzheimer's and left her retirement home with only a sweater, to go for a 'walk' . Unfortunately no one saw her leave, and we are unsure of details on exactly how long she was out in this bitter cold weather we Are having. I would just like to know that you are angels sent from God, and you really did save my mother life. So from the bottom of my heart and for the rest of my family, we are eternally grateful for you stopping when you noticed she was under dressed, and brought her to the police station. She is well, safe, and staying with family while we await placement into a Ltc facility with security and a wander guard .system . Thank you!!! The world is a better place with you in it :).

Today I was standing in line at Michaels craft store. I was standing behind this lady with two young girls. Both girls had their hair done beautifully in braids. The lady behind me comment to this lady of how beautiful the hair was done on each girl. Both girls were so pretty and very polite. The lady with the two girls replied back that she was a hair dresser and her daughters also could do this. I assumed these two girls were her Grand daughters, although she really looked pretty young to be a gramma.
None the less the young girls spoke to myself and the lady behind me telling us of their crafts they did and they were going to start to knit. The older of the two girls told us, that this lady with them, was teaching them. She was a foster mom. I thought that was the greatest and sweetest thing I had heard in a really long time, but what made my eyes almost tear was the girls proceeded to tell us that this lady had a total of 44 foster kids. I am assuming they that was how many had gone through this lady's home.
Imagine to have made a impact 44 young lives and she still seemed so energetic, caring and was so thrilled, happy and could not wait to teach these young girls the skill of knitting.
She must have patience and a heart as big as the world.
Just when I thought everything was just blah Christmas was so commercialized, I get to meet someone who truly made my day. Thank you such much to who ever you were, you have been spotted and I wish you and your family all the best in the world and a very Merry Christmas to you and your family and truly hope all your hopes & dreams come true.
