South National around 12:20 pm Wednesday!
My dog, Gibson, ran away last night. We can't find him... he was near our house and hasn't been seen in a long time. He was last seen by St. Clair College, and got hit while trying to cross the street. He is a medium sized mixed breed, looks very similar to a smaller black lab. He has a white patch on his chin and chest. He has a name tag on that has our address, but not the right number. He's in the South Windsor area, might be in LaSalle. The right number to reach us at is (226) 783 9579 He is friendly and will not bite if approached. here is a picture
Last night (Tuesday November 20, 2014) my sister and one of our workers in the food court at the mall. This man came over and sat with them and started having conversation. Our worker assumed my sister knew him - she knows a lot of people! They chatted, he said his name was James. In the conversation he said his granddaughter has Down Syndrome too. As the the conversation was ending he asked my sister if she had started her Christmas shopping. She replied, not yet, but I will. He slid a gift card across the table and said, use this to help.
He said see ya, stood up and was gone. Our worker asked my sister if she knew him - nope she didn't know him. Our worker called me immediately and asked if I knew an older man named James but I didnt. Turns out the gift card James left was a prepaid Visa card for $200!!!!! Wow!!!
Moral of the story- there are definitely some very amazing people in our world.
Your feel good for the day folks. I get goose bumps every time I talk about this. Makes my heart all warm and fuzzy.
This morning (Nov 19) at 8:30am I was heading to work and came up to the intersection of Euginie and McDougall and was stopped at the green light by a transport truck with a wide load trying to turn right on McDougall. I was in the left lane directly behind the truck and in the right lane there was a silver Chevy with Manitoba plates sitting at the rear of the truck with their 4 ways on to stop traffic from pulling up and making it hard for the truck to make it's turn. I thought nothing of this and assumed the silver Chevy was the escort vehicle with the truck. We had to sit through a full green light and on the next green light the truck was finally able to make their turn. I still didn't think anything of the silver Chevy until I realized it did not follow the truck and in fact they seemed to be in a hurry like they were late for work as they went the same way I did. The driver was late and still was thoughtful enough to sit through the lights and stop traffic to make it easier for the truck driver. My heart smiled this morning at their thoughtfulness. You have been Spotted and I hope you Have a GREAT day because you deserve it!!!
Gibson has been missing since 9pm last night. He is a lab mix, (smaller than a typical black lab) with a white patch on his neck/ chest. He was hit by a car and ran off terrified. He has spent the night injured and in the cold and we are VERY worried. This happened around Cabana/ st, clair college area. If you find him PLEASE let us know
