Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
To the woman in the black van ahead of me in the Tim Hortons drive thru at Ypres and Walker this morning. Thank you so much for paying for my order this morning. It was much appreciated! You've been spotted! I've paid it forward. Thank you again!
Thank you to whomever left their coupon at freshco last night! I ran into freshco in Huron line last night to buy some dog food. I am a coupon clipper because who doesn't like to save money?! But unfortunately I didn't have any this time. Picking up my dog food and what do I see but a coupon that someone had obviously clipped out of a paper and left behind for me! So thank you very much! That $4 savings was greatly appreciated. And to top it off my class and I had just been learning about what pay it forward means. Will be sharing this story with them today!
Went to park our car and found this wallet laying there. It's pretty wet and damp. No real id in it. If yours contact me with what might be inside.
To the "big scary man" on the motorcycle that was stopped at Peter and Brock, I graciously waited while you allowed somebody to go before you at the four way stop when it was your turn to go. I also waited for you to finish whatever you were doing instead of paying attention to the road. Finally I honked to let you know that I was behind you and you turned around and shot me the finger. I ended up having to go around you because I cannot sit there forever. You followed me until we were stopped at a train on Felix and proceeded to yell at me. You claimed that I almost hit you when I went around you, which I didn't even come close, learn how to drive.
PULL OVER IF YOU HAVE SOMETHING TO DO. YOU DO NOT DO IT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET.
On Halloween evening my mother in law fell and hurt her shoulder. It turned out to be fractured. As she sat on the ground at Riverdale and Wyandotte awaiting ambulance, endless amount of people stopped to ask if they could be of assistance. I want to especially recognize R Forget , from Enwin, for stopping and rendering assistance. Also big thanks to EMS who were kind and compassionate. In times where it seems there is so much hate in the world, this shows that most people really are good.
My daughter's Handmade white and pink teddy bear was taken from our front porch this afternoon ( Walkerville area) and she is beside herself that her baby' is gone. And we cannot believe someone would take a babys teddy bear.
If you know where it is or see it can you please return it or contact us?
A huge thank you to the gentleman who helped the young lady in front of the mall who blew a tire. She had no idea what to do and your kindness and compassion meant everything to her.
just wanted to give a shout out to a man named Lorne who took the time to help my son (who ran out of gas on riverside drive) pushed his car safely to a side road, gave him a ride to the gas station, (he carries an empty gasoline can with him), brought him back and then proceeded to use his compressor (which he also carries in the car) to inflate a low tire. Lorne you have restored my faith in humanity, I am so thankful my sons experience was completely turned around thanks to your kindness, compassion and huge heart, I promise I will pay it forward. God bless you xo
