Windsor, Ontario, November 24, 2014– The WindsorEssex Community Foundation is pleased to announce that ten different organizations from the city and county will receive a total of $90,000 in grants for new projects in 2015. Representatives from each of the ten organizations will be on hand to share details of their projects.

The Bad and The Good

While going shopping at Devonshire Mall Sunday afternoon, I ran into a friend who was pulled over at Sydney and Marentette behind the mall. We stopped as she seemed to be having car problems. Turns out someone hit her car while she was at work in Devonshire Mall and did not have the decency to leave a note with a phone number. To the person that hit her, you caused extensive damage to her car. You blew her front right tire and shredded it, cracked her rear view mirror, smashed the front bumper on the right side and side panel and broke her headlight. She couldn't even open the hood of her car to see if there was any other damage. You must have taken all of the large pieces of bumper with you as they were nowhere to be found. You left some traces of red paint on her bumper. She was very thankful to the man who helped her put on her spare tire although you had never changed a tire before but she didn't make it very far from the parking lot and had to call a tow truck. She was also very thankful to the other individuals who talked with her. She kept saying how wonderful those individuals were. To the individual who did this damage, you should know the car belonged to a very hard working, young lady. You left her devastated. I hope you have as much damage to your vehicle as she does. I really hope karma comes around fast for you.

Staples on Ouellette Avenue

I was at Staples this afternoon with a custom print job. Joseph provided top notch customer service. He was friendly, patient and prompt -- qualities often not found.
He went above and beyond to ensure I left with a perfect finished product.
Joseph, thank you. You've been spotted!
