hospital piano man

Yesterday I was at met hospital visiting my nephew. After leaving the elevator I could hear a mans voice singing Christmas carols, his voice was beautiful, he was playing the piano as well. As my husband and I turned the corner we saw the man who was singing. This mans description did not fit what society expects from someone with such a grand voice and talent. I only saw that part of him for a split second though, his voice and his talent on the piano owned my heart at that moment. Next time any of you are at met hospital this season, and need a break, go down to where the gift store is, hopefully he is singing all through the holiday season, he will take your mind off of things for a bit....you sir, your voice, your talent, your quick smile, has been spotted...xoxo

respectful CCH students

On Monday afternoon I was running errands and needed my timmies fix
So I stopped at the Howard and tecumseh location there was a line up as per usual
There were to young gentlemen on either lunch or a break from CCH who told me to go ahead of them the one young man explained to his friend that it was only polite they were younger and should always have respect for your elders and it wouldn't hurt them to wait a few seconds longer & #128515;
To those two young men I hope you enjoyed the coffee it was a small gesture on my part to let you know that politeness and manners do get rewarded
CCH students you have been spotted

Thank you Summit Centre team.

Although I really shouldn't wait until the holidays to say it, I wanted to let all of my co-workers at the Summit Centre for Preschool Children with Autism know how much I appreciate all they do. The lives you touch (including mine) are forever changed because of the work you do. Thank you for being a wonderful work family.

Good Samaritan at Met ER

Arrived at the ER at Met hospital at 1am. Shortly after my arrival a man waiting with his sick daughter went around the waiting room asking all the patients and their families if he could get them something from Tim Horton's. The man took orders from several people and would not accept any money. He arrived back a short while later with all of the drinks. What a kind gesture from a very nice man! Impressed to see there are still great people out there.

To the person that found my phone

I'd like to profusely thank the kind person who found my phone tonight at the Holiday Train event. I bent down to pick up my son so he could see the band playing on stage, and it must have slipped out of my pocket. After walking on a bit, and realizing it was gone, I panicked and rushed back, and you were there, already looking for me. I thanked you then, and I want to thank you again. It's nice to know there are good people in the city! I will pay your kindness forward.
