Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
Could the person who found Felicia Owen's birth certificate the other day please contact her mother, Isabelle Tardif? She had replied to the post, both on the site and facebook page, and still has not heard from you. Thanks.
SOCKY, went missing at the beginning of October 2014 from the Montcalm & Prince Rd. area near Western Hospital during a rainstorm which definitely frightened her. She is mostly black, four white paws, white chin & white chest with the most amazing green eyes!!. SOCKY is spay/ microchipped but still has her claws & considered an indoor/ outdoor cat!! She is very sweet & will likely let you catch her. SOCKY is dearly loved & missed by our 11 year old Autistic son. TEIGHAN misses her terribly & tends to perseverate on traumatic things, he will never give up on her. If u know of anyone who may have acquired a cat within the last couple of months resembling SOCKY, please call 519-915-2993 or 226-787-2963. Thank you. & lt;3
Windsor Police try to talk an armed man out of his home on Campbell Avenue.
After approximately two hours with no success, police enter the home forcefully and arrest the man.
A shotgun was later recovered.
SUSHI has been found after she was stolen 16 months ago!!! I reached out to Brandie 3 months ago, for I felt I needed to help her get SUSHI's story out there. She was found thru FB from a girl that she had lost contact with. They became friends just recently & while going thru her pics she knew who had SUSHI. My hope was to make Brandie & her son Noah's wish come true & that was to have SUSHI home for Christmas and it's happened!! SUSHI was part of my husband's a & my conversation everyday and when I got the news this morning I lost it but out of happiness for Brandie & Noah... So I think it's safe to say that my husband won't miss that convo anytime soon!!! lol
As I've always said to my family, "NEVER say NEVER" because ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE!!!
Welcome home SUSHI!! & lt;3
To the wonderful lady who found my Husband's wallet in the parking lot at the Walker Rd medical centre & returned it to the pharmacy on Tecumseh Rd E- and who wishes to remain anonymous- THANK YOU!!!
I'm sure you will be rewarded in many ways and we are so grateful for kind and honest people like you. You saved the day!!
Spotted at the Tim Horton's on park and goyeau, a little after 1pm today (Dec 10th) There was a young woman looking down and out and wearing slippers. You bought her a coffee and took it over to her table with creamer and sugar... Ur act of kindness nearly brought tears to my eyes! You've been spotted.. Merry Christmas and God bless you..
One of our tenants received a call from someone purporting to be from Enwin today. The caller demanded that they pay $4,000 within the next few hours or their power would be turned off. As a restaurant, they were very concerned at the potential loss of power and called us immediately.
I called Enwin, paid bill in hand, and they told me that this is a common scam going around the area. If Enwin were to cut off your power they would firstly call the person to whom the bill is issued and secondly give a 48 hour notice. If you receive a call like this, Enwin is asking that you call the Windsor Police Financial Crimes Unit so that they can track incidents and hopefully stop the culprits from continuing this scam. Please let everyone you know that this is happening so they are not fooled should they receive such a call.
My youngest son is 4 months old he was born 6 weeks premature.this weekend he began to fall I'll was diagnosed with bronchitis Monday. Wednesday morning he woke up very sick and was having trouble berthing I dialled 911. In the hospital our nurse was amazing I mean absolutely outstanding she was compassionate loving caring and you could tell she cared about her job. To some people those are the traits of a nurse unfourtantley it's rare to find a truly caring loving hardworking nurse with a positive attitude. I watched her constantly procrastinate to take her break to take care of her patients, then when she agreed to take her break she gave a needle to one checked on my son then checked on the man next to me .every single nurse or healthcare worker can learn from this young nurse Katie Nicolettie you have been spotted thank you don't change !!!!!
