Extremely grateful

I had forgotten my bag at the Tim Hortons off of Central on Dec. 30, around 10 pm and when I called in to see if it was still there they had told me it was. I just want to say a huge thank you to whoever gave it to the staff to hold on to and also a thank you for restoring my faith in humanity. Before I called, I was already thinking that it must have been taken, so it was a very nice surprise to find that it wasn't!

Thank you again and have a Happy New Year!

The existence of Nepotistic in Windsor

To the people who are living in Windsor,

How can most businesses keep the resume for 6 months online? Simple: They put up a simple database for a basic profile and scrap the database out of the system after 6 months or less. Generally speaking, there are a lot of nepotism in Windsor. They would hire family and friends instead of those that are well educated or inclined on having the basic soft skills. It's just a bunch of discouragement of me trying to obtain something in life. Other than that, I think these people really need to actually make a change in their own aspects of others.

Sincerely,

An anonymous user who that is tired of the nepotistic hiring procedure

Second chance kitty

Spotted: My sister who helped give a kitty a second chance.

A cat has been living on her neighbour's porch since Xmas. Given that it is getting cold, my sister took it upon herself to bring the cat in, feed it, and call Moggy's cat rescue to help this little guy, whom she named Kringle (as he was found on Xmas Day). He was very sweet and gregarious. She had no problems getting him in the carrier and he purred like a fiend when she gave him a can of wet food to fill his belly. He was brought to Central Animal Hospital where he will be assessed and treated for the usual kitty stuff. After that, Moggy's will pick up him and place him in a forever home or a foster home. So kudos to my sister for helping a poor kitty in need. Nothing makes my day more than when people come together to help animals in need.

To my sister: thank you for looking out for all creatures big and small when duty called.

To "Kringle": Best of luck finding a home bud! I would take you in a heart beat had I the space or means.

Smile goes a far way

I would just like to wish the wonderful delicatessen lady at Mr. Meats on the West end a very Merry Christmas.
Yesterday my husband went to get a few last minute items. One of them was lunch meat to make quick snacks for today while I make our Christmas dinner feast.
When he came home he was moved by something you had said to him. You said " I just wanted to say thank you " He was puzzled and asked why. You responded that he was the first person to smile all day and that everyone shopping was very cross and not in the holiday spirit.
I just want to wish you and your family a very merry Christmas. I am sorry that the rest of the shoppers were in such states of mind that they forgot the simplicity of politeness. No matter what time of year or how busy people are they have no right to be so "ugly" in spirit. I hope everyone after my husband smiled at you as you are always so pleasant and kind.

Lost Keys

We lost a set of keys on Saturday Dec 27. Possibly at Devonshire Mall. Car key, house keys etc on a Cheetah print lanyard. There should be a War Amps tag on it as well. Please message me here if you have found them. Thanks

Friendly grey cat

This friendly grey cat has been hanging around my house since Christmas day. He has been dubbed the 'Christmas kitty'. Anyways. He comes when you call him. He is super friendly and lets you pick him up while he purrs constantly. He is currently living on my front porch in an old dog bed and eating leftover turkey. He still he his front claws and appears to be in good health. He keeps trying to get into my house every time we open up the door. If anyone recognizes this cat , is missing a cat or is looking to take him in It would be greatly appreciated. I feel bad for this little guy cuz it's getting so cold out and the water dish I've putnout for him keeps turning into slush. He's cuttently in the east riverside area on belleperche street

Shunned a Good Samaritan--Shame

After finding a wallet filled with US and Canadian cash and credit cards, plus going to the trouble of finding, then driving to return it to its rightful owner, I receive a cold and abrupt thank you, followed immediately by a door slammed in my face. No heartfelt thanks or even a Merry Christmas ( or a bounty which I would have turned down anyway) from the wallet's owner, for saving them the headache of replacing all the ID. A slap in the face for doing the right thing. Grrr !
