Amazing customer service

My son has had a few issues with his Ipad. This would have been a long drive to USA or London for the closest Apple store to repair it. By word of mouth I was told about this wonderful Apple repair place right here in Windsor ! Its now called IFIX. Its an Apple provider. Tecumseh and Rivard across from Freshco. You can't miss it as its a bright green sign. The first issue with the IPAD was a manufacture problem and was replaced on the spot ! Todays was another issue that wasn't fixable from home. So a quick trip there and bam problem fixed ! He is a wonderful person. Explained what was wrong and fixed it. They repair all apple products and more. Check them out for any issues. Apple wants customer service 10/ 10, for sure this is the right place and man for the job !

young girl in the mall food court

I'd like to recognize the little girl in the food court at Devonshire Mall yesterday. She was 10 or 12 with light brown hair and had bought a stuffed husky dog. She was having lunch with her mom when she saw an older woman with a cane struggling to clear her table and rushed to clear it for her. The mall was packed and it was easy not to notice the woman. Your mama is raising you right, sweetie and I hope you see this.

Amazing help in our city!

On Saturday December 14h I fell and dislocated and broke 2 bones in my left ankle. I also managed to sprain my right ankle in the process.

Because the break was so bad, my friends were unable to get me up and into one of their vans to take me to the ER. They called an ambulance for me. The EMTs that came were awesome. Both were men, one had earrings in each ear, and the other was Nooch (this is what his buddy was calling him). Both were excellent, and caring in handling my pain and shock while moving me and getting me to Met. Upon arriving at Met, I was moved into a curtained area of the ER. I was in terrible pain, the ER nurse was quick to assess me and get me some pain meds (sorry I don't remember your name). Once I had been to xray, I was moved to another area of the ER to wait for the results. While there Carolyn and Susie took care of me. They were both pleasant, and took the time to talk to me and make sure I was ok.

Once the decision was made to put my foot back on the joint (yuk and owe!) I was informed of all the steps by the ER doctor (sorry I did not get your name). He was very caring, and explained everything to me before sedating me and putting the ankle back on the joint.

Once this was done, I was taken back down to xray to make sure it was back in place properly. The Xray tech was very nice and joked with me and said that my ankle was the worst he had seen in 6 months. I said back to him "yea but I sprained the right too", he laughed and said "yep you win for sure". Thank you for being so nice and making me laugh.

Finally around 5pm om Sunday it was decided that I needed surgery. I was taken to the OR. There I met Helen the OR nurse who was so nice and funny, she made me feel comfortable, and much less nervous. The anesthesiologist was also a very kind man, he explained how they would administer the drug and that I would not need to be tubed which made me happy. My surgeon Dr. Elaashaal was very nice as well, he explained the procedure to me in layman's terms so I would understand it all.

After the surgery Helen was there when I woke up to make sure I was ok. Them a very nice young man was called to take me to my room. We somehow got into a conversation about one of my favorite tv shows.

Once in the post op ward my nurses were Anita and Michelle. Both of these ladies were so sweet and helpful. Anytime I asked them for anything they went above and beyond to help me out.

The OT doctor and student that came in to help me were also very nice and helpful.

Over all, I would like to say to ALL of you wonderful people that helped me out THANK YOU so much.

I still have a long way to go in my recovery, and I have the help of some amazing people Julie my PSW from the Red Cross, and Mike from Bayshore my OT.

Everyone of you are amazing, caring people. Thank you for all that you do to help the people in our city everyday!

I hope all of you had a very Merry Christmas, and a very Happy New Year.

Happy New YEAR! From someone who will be working tonight!

I want to wish everyone a happy new year and hope everyone enjoys bringing in the new year wherever you decide to do it. Please remember to be considerate to those working in restaurants/ halls/ parties pretty much anywhere you go tonight. I enjoy working new years because I love the energy and the crowd that comes in to the restaurant I work at. I just hope everyone is as nice as my customers are. Not all of us have a choice to work or not. Some have to be working while their family/ children and friends ring in the new year. Just smile a little more and have a little more patience than you typically have when visiting a place of business.

Today I caught myself smiling for no reason, but I realized it was because of you

This Christmas was the best Christmas of my 29 year old life. This Christmas I got engaged to my boyfriend of 3 years. Last year we were walking on riverside and an elderly woman walked up to us and said "I was married for 50 years to my John. He passed a month ago but I still come here every anniversary because it was our favorite place to just sit with each other and look at the sunset. you two remind me of how we started and I hope you stay happy like this forever." She sat there and talked to us about life and love for over an hour and we both enjoyed her wise words. Now this is where it gets good, My boyfriend saw this lady again later this year and he setup the sweetest thing ever. We were walking down riverside and suddenly this same lady appeared and I gave her a huge hug and she started asking how we were. She joked that she thought we would have a little one with us by now. She paused for a second and said "Are you ready?" I asked ready for what? She motioned to have me turn around so I did. My Boyfriend was there on his knee along with all his family and mine. I broke down and couldn't believe what was happening. I turned back to the lady who had tears in her eyes and she was so excited my boyfriends plan worked. I want to thank you again Brenda for everything you have said to us and I am so glad you were there to be a part of it. I also want to thank my boyfriend for being such a sweetheart and putting so much effort into surprising me. I had the best Christmas and I wish everyone a Happy New Year and a Wonderful 2015.

parking space

This may be weird to point out to some, but I had to just to somewhat raise awareness of people of "bigger shape". I'm 8 month pregnant, and it's all in my belly, I'm huge from the front. So today after work I tried to get into my car and someone decided to park their van as tight as they could next to my car, even though I parked far away from everyone, they still managed to find me. This has happened to me twice in a month already. So here I am trying to figure out how to get into my car. If I only had my pre-prego waste I could've somewhat maneuvered my body into the car, but 8 months pregnant.....nope. I ended up going in through the passenger's seat and that was not as easy as I thought it would've been. It was actually painful. I was just so frustrated at the end of it...after a long day on my feet (work in retail), in the freezing cold at 10pm I'm trying to figure out how to get home. I just had to vent on this site and hope everyone out there think about this little minor thing called leaving some space between the cars on the parking lots, trust me it will make any prego lady very happy! I personally never thought I'd ever end up in this situation. Happy New Year everyone!

handicap parking squatter

Its a pet peeve of mine when people use the handicap spots they arent entitled to but wow you take the cake. At fivish today you pulled into tim hortons and parked HORIZONTALLY across TWO handicap spots while your child threw out garbage. What an example to teach your child. You should be thoroughly ashamed of yourself and I can only hope your child has better moral examples in their life than you.
