Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
Today, while shopping at Old Navy, my son met a young boy (maybe about 9) and his family that were waiting inline in front of us. The young boy talked with my son, all while my son pointed at the Balloons at the register and kept shouting 'Ballllll' (his version of balloon)!! As we waited I noticed the young boy quietly take out some coins from his pocket, trying to secretly count what he had. His family was called to a register and we were called to another. Just as we were about to leave the store the young boy comes up and says 'I think he really wanted a balloon, and did you know they were free?' (He tried to pay for it, but the lady at the cash gave him one). Can I just say WOW...What a kind young boy. I pray that my son would share this type of kindness with others, and that we could all be reminded that simple gestures go a long way!!! It certainly made this Mama cry, and my son's day...you have no idea how much he LOVES balloons!!! To the Parents/ Guardians of that boy...well done! And to that young boy, know that the kindness you showed, to a small child you did not know, is a bigger gesture than you may think. You have no idea how much I wanted to just hug you and just tell you how proud I was of you; I know your Mom must have been so proud! I will never forget this moment, and one day I will tell this story to my son and remind him of this special moment.
2 older women, 2 girl teens and one little boy working outside t on Rankin Ave trying to break up the ice near the drain grates, so the street doesn't flood. You have been spotted! Good Job! Nice to see that people actually care about the neighbourhood. :)

Our national anthem ... a symbol of our pride, a symbol of how fortunate we are, a symbol of remembrance of sacrifices made by many before us, those who made this country great. And all they ask is that you stand, be quiet and remove your hat while they play or perform O Canada.
On each occassion at the last two U of Windsor hockey games at South Windsor arena, we were asked to stand and removed our hats for the playing of our anthem. You, young woman of about mid-20s in age, did not remove your hat and continued talking to your friend and checking your phone throughout the entire length of the anthem.
Ignorant. Completely ignorant.
You were the ONLY one in the whole arena. I might have taken your picture to publicly shame you but I had too much respect for the anthem. And I doubt you would see the light anyways.
My 7year old siamese cat got out Tuesday march 3rd and i have been going nuts trying to find him. He went missing from the Giles and Parent area. If u see him can you please contact me or bring him to the humane society.
Spotted : yesterday my grandma and I were walking into Costco. I grabbed a cart and was going to meet my grandma at the photo centre. As I was walking towards her I noticed a gentlemen hand her something and walk away. As he smiled and turned away he said " the golden rule is what I live by, have a great weekend." I was curious so I asked her what that guy wanted. She said that he noticed when she pulled her hand out of her jacket pocket a $50 and $20 fell out onto the floor. He picked it up walked over to her and gave it to her. He had such a great smile and she thanked him and said thank you for being honest. Thats when he said " the golden rule is what I live by, have a great weekend"
To the owner of this pickup truck. You're the worst type of person and I hate you.
