Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
I went out for dinner with my boyfriend tonight. Soon after we were seated, 3 young women were seated at the table directly beside us. Ladies your conversation would normally not have bothered us, but your frequent use of the word f*ck and c**t at a volume that was higher than necessary definitely did. I'm quite sure that's not an image your sorority would want projected in a busy restaurant. I'm honestly shocked that the 'big' was not more attentive to the image her 'littles' were projecting of their sorority they didn't let anyone forget they were a part of. Nice one ladies. Stay classy!

I want to spot the kind man at Arby's on Howard around 4:30 Thursday, I didn't see if the older gentleman out side had fallen or just sat down but it was clear he wouldn't make it into the building with that rather large step. It looked as though you stopped eating you meal to go out and help his wife get him up on his feet and safely into the building. Thank you for caring. It made my day to see this.
To the wonderful person that payed for my coffee at the Starbucks on Dougall today at about 12:45 you have been spotted! I just wanted to say that you made my day and you did put a smile on my face! I thank you very much and I ptomise to pay it forward!!!
I was having an odd and crappy day at work last night. To top it off a guy left behind $100 at the self scan station, when he realized it and came back it was gone. I felt so bad for him, he looked like he was gonna cry. He hung around for a little bit, looked like he didn't know what to do. I had him leave his name and number just in case. Well a couple hours later, a lady came up to the desk and said she got cash back and didn't realize till she got home that she got way too much. She must have been the next person and got her money with the money that was still there. She came back to the store to turn it in...it was that mans $100. I thought it was so nice of her to be honest and turn it in. She said she believed in karma and wanted to do the right thing. I offered her a $25 gift card, but she declined. The manager came over and offered he flowers too, but she declined and got teary-eyed. I called the man back and he could not believe it. He asked if she was still there or left her name/ number because he also wanted to repay her. You my dear changed my mood for the rest of the night. Wish there were more honest people like that in the world.
Spotted a dog on Aubin rd......does anyone know who the owner is??......brought him to humane society after searching for owner.
My heart literally dropped when I woke up to a text message. A text that said one of my favourite high school teachers, Mr. Baxter had passed. He was one of those teachers you could always talk to, go to for advice and know that he didn't judge you. He was laid back but still knew how to be a teacher. I want to send my condolences to his family, you should know how great of a person he was, how he touched many students hearts, how he helped us the best he could. He is one that will not be replaced.
While at Billie's Place on St. Patrick's Day, my friend and I were sitting at a booth getting ready to leave, when I spotted my cousin at the bar. I told my friend I was just going to say "hi" to him, but I ended up talking to him longer than I had anticipated. I didn't know my friend had gone out front because she wasn't feeling well (not realizing that my purse was sitting on the chair).
When I got back to the booth, finding my purse but not my friend, I felt sick. I was sure my wallet was probably gone, or my money or i.d.
But, my wallet was still there with everything totally intact.
Thank you to the honest group of people at Billie's (you know who you are!) You rock!!!
To the guy who thought it would be a good idea to try and jaywalk across busy Wyandotte not even 20 metres from the Pillette intersection with his 2 kids at 2:30 ... Is it really worth putting your children's lives at risk just to save the 30 seconds to walk to the intersection to cross safely? I nearly hit you because of your stupidity and laziness!
