Smashed car window stolen purse

My car window was smashed in last evening at central grade school while I was 15 feet away playing volleyball in the gym, my purse that I had under the seat was stolen! All of my and my kids ID, other personal items and keys that Cost a fortune to replace and reprogram to replace they are worth nothing to anyone else ! Police are aware but I would ask that the person that did this please return or turn over the keys and ID somewhere that it can be returned to me, this incident that got you maybe $20 will cost me $1200 , that I don't have, as well as time away from work and my kids and plenty of distress! Also if anyone lives or works in that area ( Norfolk near central school) please keep your eyes open for a black and white purse or cream coloured wallet , set of keys etc. hopefully it got dropped! thanks!

Best Service I have seen

On Tuesday, I was in the Goodwill store on McDougall and was amazed at the customer service I received. I walked in and was immediately greeted with a hello from the tall gentleman who was at the counter assisting other people. I glanced over and noticed some jewelery in the counter so I decided to go and take a look. I was surprised at the great selection that was there for being a thrift store, and was especially amazed at the service I received by the man while I was there. He was so polite and really knew what he was talking about as I was asking him question upon question of some products I was glancing at in the counter. I myself am a Business Professional and was blown away by the overall service I received. I asked him how he liked working there and he stated he couldn't be happier working with such great people which makes his job that much easier. I gathered from this he was a supervisor and then carried on shopping. I was blown away by the huge selection of items in the store, clothing galore, stuff for the house, lights, stereos, furniture. You name it they probably had it and all in great shape for being donated goods, as i found out later all the products are donations only.
Upon my exit once again he said a happy "See you soon" and i replied "i will be telling all my colleagues about this store and your service" to which i received a big smile.
Kudos to this great store and great staff, I recommend this Goodwill to anybody looking for great value and selection, and especially the service!!!!

Job well done!!

Guy with e-bike at clinic

To the guy who came to the clinic on Goyeau & Eerie today around 2 pm with his e-bike and big coat, who kept going outside to talk on his cellphone. I think I know you - or knew you - in a very distant past. You don't resemble your old self. In fact, you don't resemble anyone healthy or happy. It may appear that life has dealt you a very bad hand. I don't know what you're going through or what your current situation is, but I just want to say that you matter. You are a human being on this earth who matters and who is contributing to the grand scheme of the universe. I hope you are well, and if you are not, I hope you have the strength to get well. We may not have much time on this earth, and some of us don't understand the depths of other people's hardships.

Angel In The Dr Office

Today I was at the doctor's office on Howard with my son. when my name was called my son and I went in. 2 mins later the nurse comes in & hands me this envelope, saying a lady said to give it to me. There was no note except what it said on the front, and $20 inside. I felt myself turning red, because how in the world could this lady possibly know I needed confirmation that someone notices me lately? I've been struggling with so many things lately and she washed all my doubts away, she restored my faith in myself and others with this small, yet absolutely HUGE gift. I didn't need money, but I surely needed this amazing & selfless act of kindness. Whoever you are, thank you a million times. You have no idea what you have done for me, on today of all days!!! I am so excited to do it for someone else. If I knew where to find you I'd hug you!!

Spotted at Marija's Place!

Just wanted to say thank you so much to "Dave", whoever you are...I went out for lunch today with my two little boys at Marija's Place on Wyandotte East. When it came time to pay for our lunch, the waitress brought me the bill, but there was a $20 bill tucked in with it. She said someone thought my little guys were very well behaved and wanted to treat us by giving us $20 toward our (delicious) lunch. I asked to thank him, and she would only tell me that his name was Dave. So thank you Dave, you totally made our day. According to the waitress this is something you do often while eating there. You have been spotted!!! It is kindness like yours that makes the world a better place.

East end neighbourhood watch.

As a lot of you know recently there has been a lot of break-ins to houses, cars, garages, etc in the east-end of OUR city, Windsor. My friends and I have began talking about it months ago but just days ago another friend of mines car was broken into AGAIN. As the weather get warmer, unfortunately crime rises. People aren't aware of the fear and anxiety one encounters when their privacy has been taken away and personal stuff has been taken. We want to start a neighbourhood watch program. I've asked friends of mine who are officers and they think it's a good idea, but NEEDS structure. With guidance from a law enforcement agency, the Watch will train its members in home security techniques, observation skills, and crime reporting. Residents also learn about the types of crime that affect the area. Watch groups are not
vigilantes and do not assume the role of the police. They only ask neighbors to be
alert, observant, and caring—and to report suspicious activity or crimes immediately to the police. I've already gotten close to a dozen friends from the east side who are on board. If you are interested in joining or have any helpful information about the subject I'd love to hear it. Leave me your Facebook and I will PM you to get the ball rolling. Thank you!
