Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
This morning (April 27th), my husband and myself went to the Lumberjack restaurant for breakfast. We were sitting next to this gentleman and his 2 sons. They were delightful little guys, and we couldn't help but overhear the 1 little man going on and on about Jurassic park and Indiana Jones. He came up with a terrific idea for a new movie involving a combination of the 2 movies :) We recently had a terrible house fire, and we're displaced (along with our 4 children) for the next 2-6 months. We've had a rough patch (nothing we can't get through) and I've found myself frowning quite a bit lately. This little man brightened my day, made us smile and laugh, and reminded me of a great couple of movies to rent tonight for the kids to watch :) I complimented the Dad (obviously he's a pretty good one) and bought their breakfast for them :) I hope you enjoyed your breakfast and the surprise when it came time to pay your bill...you made our day a whole lot happier...just being the sweet family you are :)
I wanted to give a special "Spotted" shout out to the lady named Jen who found my cell phone in a cab Saturday evening. She took the Vet's Cab right after I did, found the cell phone and took it home with her saying she didn't always trust the cab drivers (I agree). She called the number listed under Dad in my phone and he was able to contact my boyfriend's cell phone. I called my cell phone and she happily gave me her address and I went to pick up my phone. I offered to give her a $20 finder's fee but she refused to take it saying this was good karma for her. I completely agree! Nice to see people actually doing good deeds and not just taking things that don't belong to them.
Thank you Jen, you made my day and saved me a lot of money :) You have been SPOTTED!
I was out Saturday night with a group of friends, we all had a lot to drink. When I woke up Sunday morning, my purse started ringing...I reached in and found someone's cell phone! I have no clue as to how it got in my purse but, I answered it and it was the police looking for the phone. I just want to apologize and tell you I'm glad you got your phone back and I'm sorry for any confusion! I was out with a lot of people I didn't know, and not sure if someone slipped it in my bag but, I'm happy it got back to you. Sorry again.
To whomever was ahead of me at around 9 am this morning in the Tim Horton's drive thru on Ojibway Parkway
I stopped to pick up a soup combo for my son who wasn't feeling well. He was already at work. His last day today as he is getting married in Jamaica on Saturday and we are leaving tomorrow!!
I just left to do errands and wanted to drop off the soup for him.
I drove up to the window to pay and the young man smiled and said 'Not to worry it was already paid for!"
I thought I heard wrong and went to give him the money and he smiled and said again " It has been taken care of by the car that was ahead of you"
Well I didn't know what to say as was just so surprised, just made me cry
Nothing like this has ever happened to me before
Just so you know, I am just starting the first day of my vacation today and am already over the moon with the wedding of my son and you made it even better!!!!
YOU MADE MY DAY......AND FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART.....THANK YOU!!! Xo

Usually dealing with phone stores is such a bummer and annoyance. Especially because the employees barely have phone knowledge. I was so surprised when browsing at Wow Mobile in Tecumseh mall with my brother by the level of customer service. The employees gave us honest answers and we're not shoving brands down our throats. Even told my brother to shop around letting him know when their sale is done. When he told me he was going back to buy the phone, I came along. Sure enough, luck was on my side (or my brothers aha) Nick set the phone up and even made some good jokes along the way. If it was my phone I would have asked him to be my first contact. Hopefully when my contract is up next year Nick will still be working there ;) a girl can hope right? @tecumsehmall @WOWMobile
On Saturday evening my husband and I went to Buffalo Wild Wings at the Devonshire mall for dinner. We haven't been out for a date in a long time (3 little kids) and we had grandparents over to watch our littles overnight.
We went to dinner around 630-645.
Shortly after we were seated a gentleman came to our table and threw down what looked like two business cards. He said hope you can use these and went back to his table. They were two 5 free wing cards. We were shocked! As you were leaving we were able to say thank you, but I wanted to say it again!
Thank you for being such a generous person and thank you for making our evening out that much better!!!
You sir have been spotted!!! :)

Last week we had a very large 95 foot poplar tree taken down from our backyard. The tree company left us a small pile of wood for our fire pit towards the back of our property. This afternoon (Fri) my husband and I were finally able to start trying to get our backyard back together, since it was cold, wet, muddy all week and we both work, we had our fence down and noticed this afternoon that the small pile of wood has disappeared since yesterday. We just want to say that whoever took it, just know it was poplar wood and not very good for burning. I just can't believe anyone had the nerve to take it as it had been sitting there all week and they left us a cardboard box full of twigs, we do have cameras and will be viewing them; unbelievable!!!
To the lady that was 95 percent undressed at today's Earth Day at Malden Park wearning the skimpy gold two piece bathing (dental floss) suit ...playing club music & taking some kind of photo shoot.
I think it was extremely inappropriate while hundred of kids are walking around trying to plant plants near you and go on nature scavenger walks. That your undressed in the middle of this.
You brought down the class of the whole event.
