Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
To the lady at Canadian tire on walker road. Thank you for your help in calling the ambulance for my son. Thank you trying to keep me calm. Doctor said it was a fever and he had and infection and that he most likely was having a seizure. We are home and he is back to normal.
I am sorry that your children had to see what was happening, I hope they are ok.
I just wanted to let you know that he is ok. Again Thank you for your help this afternoon, i am sorry I didn't have a chance to say it to you then
I hope that somehow you see this.
Northbound Howard Ave. at Eugenie at 4pm Sunday afternoon. Several strangers stopped their cars, blocked traffic and worked together to corral a scared wounded greyhound who bolted from a home near Grand Marais an proceded to run straight down Howard between the two northbound lanes.
By the time the animal was corralled at the underpass between Eugenie and Ypres, it had worn all of the pads off its paws from the long concrete run and was bleeding quite badly from all paws.
The animal's caretakers showed up shortly behind us. The two gentlemen in this picture (names unknown to me) managed to save the dog from near doom. And one was so gallant as to pick up the dog (who could no longer stand) and load him in to the woman's vehicle to be taken for care.
We all shook hands and kind of celebrated each others care and kindness for an animal in need.
These are special people who make me very proud of the city I live in.
One last request......... anyone reading this who knows "Henry" and his caretakers....... please please please update us on his condition and recovery.
To the lady at Freshco on Lauzon and Wyandotte. You left your dog in a parked closed car I had just pulled my phone out to call the police when I heard your car lock open as you walked across the parking lot. I said you should not leave a dog locked in a car with no windows down and you gave me a dirty look like I was the person who did something wrong. Next time you may come out and find a broken window and the police standing beside your car. It was 80 F outside. Use your head. Maybe someone should lock you in a closed car!!
Just wanted to put Dr. Parete, more specifically his socks, up here to be spotted. Recently became a patient of his, and when he asked if I had any question I regretfully bit my tongue on the only question going through my mind. "do you dress yourself?" Not only was he easy on the eyes, but his outfit was spot on right down to his socks. & So, for that I thought he deserved to be spotted. :)
This morning I took my son out for breakfast at the Back Road Cafe. I went to pay for our meal and the waiter informed me that someone has already paid for us. To that special someone I deeply thank you from the bottom of my heart for that wonderful gesture. I left in tears. I will definately pass on the wonderful act. You have been spotted :D
A beauty of a bird perched atop our bar at Mi Casita Restaurant & Bar 429 Wyandotte St E....Are you missing your bird??? I think he is trying to get in on the Cinco De Mayo Festivities this weekend ;) We have called the humane society but thought we would share incase someone recognizes him/ her :)

Today I was playing with my baby at the park by Our Lady of Lourdes, swinging with him when I heard a train coming. My Son had never seen a train so I got pretty excited (first time mommy) and jumped at the chance to teach him something new. The train passed by, via 915, and the conductor must have seen me pointing because they waved to us out of the window as they passed us. My baby is 7 months, he will never remember, but as a mother who is trying to raise a son to look for the good in people, I appreciate it. So hello friendly conductor, we see you too!
