This morning in Walkerville while walking my son to school a red colour car went by with a child in the back seat, hand out the window, snapping his toy hand gun while aiming at each of me and then my sons as the car came to a stop light.
I know, I know, kids will be kids right? Let them play? Mind your own business?
I'm a father of three young boys. I played with toy guns as a child and my sons do as well. The rule? DON'T SHOOT AT PEOPLE. Why let your children grow up thinking this is appropriate? Why not teach them gun safety and give them a target to shoot at.
Now, I'm not trying to start a debate and not being ridiculous here but this world is turning into a dangerous place already...why teach our children that it's ok to hang out a car window and shooting people?
Just wanted to thank the people who helped my dad and I today at the X-ray clinic on ouellette . We went there for him to get X-Rays and as we were leaving he fell down the stairs . I opened the door and yelled that I needed help cause my dad fell down the stairs . A medical student that was waiting in the waiting room came first to help than two ladies that work there also came out to help . They called the ambulance and the medical student and 1 of the ladies that worked there took care of him till the ambulance came . The other lady who is Karri who I grew up with managed to calm me down a bit. Thank you all sorry I don't remember the other lady's name I was too busy crying and panicking .
My son was playing baseball at the Holburn park, on Holburn corner of providence crescent marlow crescent on Saturday and forgot to put his baseball glove in his bag. He starts baseball this week and really need that glove. Please contact me at 226-350-0086 if you might have found it at the park. I would really appreciate it. Thanks
Here is a picture of what the glove kind of looks like.
To the 911 dispatch officer who, 2 and a half weeks ago, stayed with me on the phone until paramedics arrived during my frantic call when I suddenly fell very ill on the street after leaving work very late in the evening across from the Shopper's at Wyandotte and Ouellette. You potentially saved my life, as I was fighting to stay conscious, and in a desperate panic was pleading with you not to hang up as I knew that if I kept talking I likely would have. Further, when I saw them pass me by as they never saw me, you immediately radioed them to turn around. You are a true hero and I cannot thank you enough. I hope you see this, and know that I owe you a huge debt of gratitude that I hope I can repay. Also, to the paramedics and staff at Hotel Dieu Grace who attended to me, I am forever in your debt as well.
sunday I was pulling out of the Tim Horton's drive thru at Huron Line & Tecumseh when a gentleman who was sitting at one of the outdoor tables shouted over to me to have a good day. I had not looked over at him to encourage this and I believe I had a pretty grumpy look in my face ( was having a moment)
His words literally made my day.
What could have been a grumpy day was flipped in a few seconds by his kind words.
Thank you Sir.
Sunday at the Dollarama on Tecumseh Rd West by Huron Church, a woman & her daughter could not pay for their purchase because they did not have cash or debit. The young gentleman who was next in line just straight up offered to pay. Just told them to do the same for someone else when they could.
Nice to see good people
To the lady at Canadian tire on walker road. Thank you for your help in calling the ambulance for my son. Thank you trying to keep me calm. Doctor said it was a fever and he had and infection and that he most likely was having a seizure. We are home and he is back to normal.
I am sorry that your children had to see what was happening, I hope they are ok.
I just wanted to let you know that he is ok. Again Thank you for your help this afternoon, i am sorry I didn't have a chance to say it to you then
I hope that somehow you see this.
