Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
After noticing my tire pressure was low if pulled into Kal Tire on Jamsyl Drive in Windsor. I did not buy my tires there and have not been there before. Assuming I had picked up a nail or something I explained this to the young man at the desk who was very nice and said they would take a look. I waited about 20 minutes until he called me up to the desk. He explained that there was a hole and that they had put a plug in it. When I asked how much I owed him he said noting, they were happy to do it for me and hoped I would consider Kal Tire if I needed tires in the future. I definitely will. What a nice surprise that was.

Just want to give a shout out to the 3 separate officers (2 young men, and one female) we encountered at the river front, near Dieppe Gardens, yesterday, who were on traffic duty waiting for the Sikh parade to pass. Every one of these officers were smiling, kind to my daughters' inquiries, willing to engage in conversation etc.
Actually watched the parade while standing with one of them, and found her comments, observations etc respectful and interesting.
Fine job, officers!
We've lost our cat, Nitro, he's front paws are declawed, he's friendly but shy.
We are on Dennison, near Howard & Wallace. If you've seen him or have him plz call 519-791-4978; his family kisses him so much! Thank You!
We were at the Leaf restaurant yesterday for a Mother's Day lunch and three young (14 ish) ladies approached our table and handed the women at the table a carnation and said Happy Mother's Day when asked how much they wanted for the flower they smiled and said nothing. Such a nice surprise. I'm sure their mother's are proud of all of them.
I want to put a HUGE shout out to Rob and his wife Brenda, the chefs at Tec Lanes in Tecumseh for the fantastic food they prepared for our day. i approached him only last Thursday and he was more than happy to help out.
Anyone out there needing food for a gathering, please give them a call at 519-735-2308.. food was great, reasonable and they are soooo accommodating!
Thanks Rob and Brenda ... you rock!!!
With the help from presidentialproductionfilms.com and 1DREAM MEDIA we were able to go around our city and ask people to describe mothers in 1 word. Here are the results.
Thank you to the kind lady bus driver of the Dominion 5, that pulled over and offered me a ride home in the poring rain and intense winds today. I was so close to home but wanted to thank you for the kind gesture. You must be a mom. I hope you had a nice Mother's Day. Sincerely a grateful teen of South Windsor
