Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
My fiance and I had our daughter recently, and had to stay in the pediatric unit at Met hospital for a few days with her.
I just wanted to say that the nurses and doctors there, were absolutely wonderful. I was no longer a patient at that point. Our daughter was the patient. However, they took just as good care of me as they did of our daughter. I can only remember a few of the names of our nurses. Brandon, Michelle... I believe one of the names I heard was Jocelyn. I'm sorry that I can't remember all of them, but you were all equally wonderful to us and our daughter.
To all of you, we can't thank you enough for your help, advice, and patience. You had a couple of very worried parents on your hands. You eased our minds, and were so friendly, informative, and helpful to us. :)
I would like to thank the Ambulance drivers in bus 1111. They were so kind and so funny. Even though it hurt like hell to laugh they totally made my bumpy and painful ride to the hospital worth it. P.S. thanks for the pain meds. You were both kind and patient with me and did not try to rush me and treated me with respect. From making sure I was covered up and fixing my clothes while waiting in the hospital hallway. They said they have worked together for 6 years. I didn't get their names (I don't think). But they were the perfect team. Also a shout out to the clinic doctor at TMC and his staff. Hotel Dieu your staff was also top notch. Thankfully it was a short stay ( not several hours) and everyone was so kind and gentle with me. I just wanted to thank all of you. Especially Ambulance #1111 I hope all your shifts are safe and your good days are good and your bad days not the worst. (Yes I remember our convo). Also I pray for the female driver that you will one day be blessed with a grand baby of your own. You deserve all the happiness in the world. Hope you both keep smiling and laughing And joking. Windsor Paramedics buss 1111 are Great.
Yesterday around 10:30am, I was stopped behind a couple vehicles at a red light on Dougall and Norfolk. I observed a funeral procession heading Northbound on Dougall. It appeared one of the vehicles in the procession had stopped at the red light, therefore splitting the procession. No vehicles stopped to let them go through. A white pick-up truck who had a green light going East from Norfolk got out of his vehicle and stopped traffic to direct the rest of the funeral procession through. This absolutely made my day. Brought tears to my eyes. You deserve good things, sir!! We need more people like you. Glad the people around you listened and watched.
I lost my wallet on my way to work today somewhere along Howard Ave to EC Row Central exit, if any one spots it I'd really love to have it back. There's no money in it so you've got nothing but good karma to gain if you see it.
At 3pm today outside of City Hall in a torrential downpour, a stranger in a Black Dodge Charger stopped their vehicle at the intersection of City Hall Sq. & Windsor Ave. The passenger ran out to an elderly lady with a walker & offered her a ride. You are amazing humans & all of the staff on the 5th floor of City Hall saw your act of kindness. It was the best thing I seen all day. Thank you!
Thank you so much to Tammy at Howard McDonalds for going above and beyond to make my daughters day. She loved helping to make our icecream
I would like to thank the very lovely man in the orange shirt and a baseball cap who paid for my grocery bill at Fresh Co at Tecumseh and Rivard at around 3:30 p.m. today July 16th. I really appreciate your kindness today especially after a long stressful day. Thank you for sparing me from the embarrassment that l was facing after my card declined. There was an issue with my card. Thank you again. You are an angel.
Hoping the driver of a black Ford pick up driving west on EC Row at approximately 1230 am today near the Huron Church exit will step up and take care of the extensive damage done to my vehicle from a piece of metal blowing out from your truck. My 18 year old son was driving and honked at you while he had to pull over. You drove away and left him scared and shaken. If there were any witnesses that saw this your help would also be appreciated. My son was unable to get a plate number.
