Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
Pet peeve! I witnessed an elderly man in his 90's at the Walker Rd. Swiss Chalet with a walker f ghting to get out of washroom. Luckily someone had come to his aid before I got there but I checked out the washroom myself to find that not only does the washroom doors not have an accessibility button to open doors for handicap people, but the spring that closes the door is very tight. Businesses should be mandatory to have handicap accessibility. (I offered to help him get around while we were there if he needed it).
At 3 am in the area of south Windsor on Avondale ave there was 4 teenagers on bikes broke into my wife's car. Only one teenager was spotted on a green bmx bike.
Found this toy stuffed Dog in the middle of the road on Wyandotte and isabelle. Looks like maybe a child dropped it, hoping to find its owner
To the young woman who pulled her blue van off Tecumseh Rd (at Ford) to stop traffic to remove a grocery cart in the middle of the road that many people almost hit, sorry for the people laying on their horn as you held them up in traffic. I saw you go out of your way and so did others. Thank you!
My sons car was side swiped at approximately 4am by a dark red/ burgundy car that was travelling North on Polonia Park Pl. towards South National. A witness states that the driver of the vehicle pulled into the nearby parking lot and then proceeded to walk to my sons car with a flashlight. He then looked at the damage he had caused and took off. He left a part of his vehicle mirror behind.
The vehicle in question will have damage to the driver's side mirror and possibly the driver's side front end.
The decent thing to do is leave your contact information. Unfortunately, those days are long behind us. Shame on you, whoever you are.
I was traveling down Tecumseh Road near Lesperance Road on July 23rd around 3pm. My mother and I noticed a group of 4 boys around 12-13 on scooters trying to cross the road without looking, and not at a cross walk. The one boy was almost hit by one car, and then my mother. So my mother rolled down her window to tell him to get off the road. Like any normal parent would do. This young man then continued to yell profanities at her, and then tell his little friends to do the same before proceeding on to Lesperance to do the same thing they were doing on Tecumseh Road.
So if you know these boys, you may want to have a conversation with them, before the police end up having a conversation, or worst case one of them gets hit by a car.
I brought my kids out for dinner and a movie. We had dinner at Chuck's Roadhouse. When it was time to leave the restaurant and walk across to Silver City it was pouring. A young guy gave me his umbrella so I wouldn't get soaked with the kids and he walked in the rain.
To this man, you have been spotted and made my night. There still are gentlemen out there. It was the sweetest gesture. Thank you again 😊
I just wanted to say thank you to the woman driving a grey Kia Sol. That was very nice of you to pay for my coffee around 5 p.m on Tuesday July 23rd. We were at the Mcdonald's near Chrysler. I was having a really bad day and that really turned my day around! I will pay it forward!
