Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
Saturday afternoon my car stalled and wouldn't turn over as I was going to my parents house, with my 2 kids, in Tecumseh from the county.
The first time my car stalled, a very kind gentleman helped me push my car through the intersection and into the parking lot of the Esso station on manning road between Tecumseh and #3hwy. -He waitied until I got a hold of someone. I thanked him for his help, it was greatly appreciated! He even made a slight joke/ observation that "wow you got a lot of power in you to move this on your own this far! Haha".
The second time my car stalled was at the intersection of manning and Amycroft in Tecumseh.
One young man got out while the other made sure the way was clear so we could push my car into the A& W parking lot. As we crossed the intersection another gentleman who was waiting to cross with his family, ran over to help push as well.
Once parked and my sister jump started my car once again, the young man came back to make sure everything was OK with us. I must have thanked him at least a half dozen times for the push and the advise on my car!
To all the very helpful men whom had helped me Saturday afternoon (the 30th of May, 2015),
Thank you very much! With out all of your help I would have been stuck a lot longer than I was!
I haven't seen many people who would go out of their way to help a stranger recently and all of you have made my week with you generosity and assistance in my time of need!
My 2 kids and I thank you!
Spotted on the 1c west bound about 3pm June 1st a young man (20ish) in a blue hoodie and black jeans continuously offered his seat to elderly and helping them to their newly acclaimed seats. Then upon exiting he aided them off the bus smiling and being just a awesome human. While this should be standard practice, it seems as i ride the bus i see it less frequently or fought with less than courteous remarks, so to you Mr.Gallant bus man, im now spotting you! It made me and several others on the bus smile. And no doubt made those elderly folks day.

To the woman driving the black F150 at 3:15 on County Rd 22 near Wallace Line:
One day it will be your daughter, the one sitting in the front passenger seat, driving when an idiotic woman comes speeding up and rides the bumper of the car that she's just learning to drive. I hope she stays calm and doesn't panic like my son was able to.
It was especially wonderful to see you laughing and your daughter turning to look and point and laugh when you eventually went around and passed us.
Karma has a nasty way of coming around to bite you. I hope drivers are more considerate with your daughter than you were with my son.

Hi, I lost a Samsung Galaxy S4 in a white OtterBox Commuter Series case Thursday evening about 8 p.m. either inside Costco, or in the Costco parking lot handicap spot, or on one of the disability scooters. I have progressive MS, I cannot even walk without assistance or I will fall, things are bad enough for me, I c have done without this one. All the pictures of my 2 year old and 7 year old boys are on there. please, please whoever finds this phone give me a call. I have no problem giving a nice $$ reward worth more than the phone. It will be more than worth your while to return it as all my once in a lifetime photos are priceless. Please whoever finds this contact me, I am devastated. 226-344-3223.
Breaking my phone on rent-day wasn't exactly a good way to start the month. Calling around, places quoted $100-110. I ended up popping into Smartphone Clinic on Techumseh. The owner was great. While he was working, I asked him how digitizers and things worked - not only did he fix my phone for the money I had in my wallet at the time ($10 less then his fee), he pulled out parts to explain how touch screens and things work just to satisfy my curiousity.
I said I'd recommend him to anyone, so here I am. :-).
At 3 pm on lauzon parkway a police officer pulled up on the sidewalk at the intersection . A cat was laying there struggling to stay alive it appeared to have been hit by a car. The kind male officer stayed with this cat continuously petting the cat in the most gentle way I was at a red light there and even managed to see the cat lift his head to look at the officer. Not sure if the officer was waiting to see if the cat could be helped or just sitting with it during its last moments but it melted my heart. Thank you officer for making my day. Be kind always
