Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
I would like to thank the team of Windsor Firefighters that let my 4 year old daughter sit in their truck last night on Grand Marais near Howard. She saw the truck parked and made me turn around to see it and they let her in, they sat and talked with her and were very engaging asking her about her dancing and what snack she was going to have. The guys were out doing smoke detector inspections and took time to make my little girl smile. The little things like this make the little ones feel special and build their confidence. I find Windsor Firefighters are always willing to let kids in their trucks and make them feel special. THANK YOU!
To the idiot who keeps driving while an ambulance races through the street, on Howard, giving the middle finger. Really? Shane on you. Everyone else was pulled to the side, we had enough time to spot the ambulance and pull to the side.
Your not cool in your yellow hundai. I hope the techno music and you texting and acting cool was fun.
I hope they got your licence plate and the cops gave you a huge ticket.
Let's hope karma doesn't follow you if you ever need an ambulance!
Just wanted to thank the two officers. One of which I went to highschool with robbie, that were at willstead park last week when I injured myself. You stood by me until the ambulance came and got my mind off my dislocated knee. You helped the EMS workers and made sure my knee didnt move as they picked me off the sand. Then you came and visited me at hospital just to see how I was holding up. Really means a lot to me and just wanted to thank you to you and your partner.
I Took the bus today with my son. I have never rode the bus with a baby or stroller before so I wasn't sure how to get on or off the bus with my big stroller but I figured I'd figure it out. My son is 10 months and really liked riding the bus so that was good. Getting on the bus was easy enough I tilted the stroller and got it on ....but when I went to get off the bus the curb was pretty far from the vbus door I was really unsure of how to get the stroller off I looked to the drive and asked what's the easiest way to do this he just stared at me and said nothing ?!? Isn't there a ramp they put out for strollers and wheel chairs?. I attempted to lift the stroller to get it off the the bus and my wheel fell in the space between the bus and the road. Thankfully a nice young boy came and helped me off the bus. I hope he knows I really appreciate the help I'm new at some of this mom stuff and it's always nice to have someone help you. Thank you young man I hope my son grows up to be like you. And to the very unhelpful bus driver thanks for nothing.

I would like to thank the lady who helped my elderly mother in law after shopping at Zerhs Manning rd, one day last week. My mother in law was waiting for a very heavy rain storm to pass after getting her groceries. While standing under the canopy she told a woman that she had hoped to beat the rain, because she is terrified that she might fall. The woman preceeded to ask which car was hers and asked for her car keys. This very thoughtful woman brought her car to her at the sidewalk, helped her into the car, then loaded her groceries in the trunk. Thank you for caring, my mother in law Donna called you "her angel." I pray someone returns the favor to one of your loved ones. Love such kindness. God bless you.
To the person who hit my 2013 Dodge dart and failed to leave your information, shame on you. You completely destroyed the front end of my car and didn't have the decency to leave so much as a phone number. If any one has any information please contact the police. The only information we have is that the person drives a red car.
I always hear this dog howling and whining in pain but I don't know where it's coming from. It's from around Brennan High school area if anyone knows where it's coming from then you need to call the humane society. This dog could be getting brutally beaten.
Shout out to Sarah Ilijanich, Kathy Roberts, Hailey Joy and all the LAFA crew involved with Beauty and the Beast, at Walkerville Theater this past weekend.
With 2 casts, junior and senior, kids from 4 to 18 have a place to develop their talents in the ARTS and SHINE!
And what a crazy amount of true talent we have in the area, too!
Brava!!!
