This is very unlike me to post something like this but I am so upset that I just had to. I live in Lasalle and go for walks every morning. I am a forty something year old woman. I smile and say good morning to everyone I pass. This morning while out on my walk in between Malden and Matchette on Bouffard Someone was watering their lawn and it was going directly in the path of the sidewalk. I didn't want to get soaked so I had to walk on the patch of grass by the road. As I continued walking I heard somebody yell "Hey!!" I looked back and this man was on his porch and yelled to me, "what are you doing?" I said "what do you mean?" He said "did you not see the cones on my driveway, I'm sealing it." I pointed to the cones in front of me and said "but I didn't walk on your driveway" He said "look behind you there are cones on that side too, are you blind?" I said but I walked on the grass." He said "Exactly", so I said "where should I have walked?" He said "on the sidewalk", and I said "but I would have gotten soaked, I had no where to go but the grass because you have taken over this whole area" He then yelled at me to "Drop Dead" so I said "what a gentleman" to which he responded "you too!!" At that point I didn't want to engage him any further so I put my headphones on and continued walking. I'm quite sure he yelled something else at me.

So to the gentleman (and I use that word loosely), in Lasalle, If you were my father or husband I would be completely ashamed of your behavior. You were so incredibly rude and disrespectful. I wasn't being malicious or purposely trying to ruin your grass or driveway, I just didn't want to get soaked.

I try to defend Windsor and it's citizens when I can, but I have a lot of difficulty doing so in this case.

I was the driver of a VW Golf that was hit head-on on Tuesday Aug 20, around 8pm on Wyandotte St W near Janette. I suffered multiple injuries in the accident.

First of all, not one fellow motorist or bystander stopped or checked to see if I was okay. Not even after the driver of the other vehicle got out of his, came over to mine, opened my door and started verbally accosting me and swearing at me, telling me it was my fault. I fully believe he was under the influence of something because of his behaviour. I had to lock myself in my car until WPS arrived. I was terrified and shaking from shock following the accident!

Second, I know there were plenty of motorists ahead of me and behind me during the downpour of rain around then. There were also people rushing to get out of the rain around where the accident happened. I know someone saw something!

If you were a witness to this accident, I beg you to call WPS and report what you witnessed. I know the accident was the other driver's fault but I need witnesses to tell WPS what they saw.

My dads truck was broken into last week at the Ford Test track. His drivers window was smashed and my moms purse was taken. I was just hoping that someone in that area has found it. She doesnt care about the money, it's all the other things that are irreplaceable items. If anyone has found this or parts of it, I would appreciate a contact, no questions asked. Thanks everyone!

There was a gentleman a friend of mine helped today, he had been hit by an RV out front of the tunnel. She's hoping someone knows him and can let her know how he's doing, as she was one of the people who helped him until EMS arrived.

Is there anyone here who knows this man or the family who can update on his condition!

I want to say thank you to the Vets Cab driver today who gave a homeless man money after watching him search the garbage can for food at the corner of Ouellette and University. Watching the man's reaction to your generosity was absolutely emotional. Your act of generosity didn't go unnoticed, bless your soul!

Thank you so much to the good citizen on a motorcycle who took the time to help me today. I was in a car accident today and was so shaken up and had no idea what to do first. This kind man pulled up on his bike and directed us to the side of the road , and helped calmed everyone down and told us how to proceed with everything. He then sat with us and made sure we were all ok and that we were able to get home safely. Thank you so much, you truly are and amazing person, and proof their are still kind people left in this world !

While having a coffee break I spotted our lovely Windsor firefighters giving some neighbourhood kids a great time and cooking them off on a hot day.

Meet Dryden Szucki.

Dryden is an 8 year old tecumseh boy who is severely autistic, functionally non verbal, ADHD. He has no sense of danger and loves to run and explore, which is becoming increasingly dangerous for Dryden and causing a lot of stress and worry on his mom.

Dryden is in need of a specially trained service dog in order to help keep him safe. The cost of the dog is quite expensive as you can imagine, in excess of $8000. Currently, friends of Drydens mom are selling "Admit One" tickets for Lakeshore Cinema. The tickets cost $10 and are good for any general admission or luxury recliner movies. They never expire.
