Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
On Wednesday afternoon, around 3:30, I was outside Devonshire Mall, by Tim Hortons, sitting on a bench with my headphones on, listening to music to pass the time waiting for my husband. An older lady sat down beside me, and she and her 8 year old grandson were playing "soccer" with a small fooz soccer ball. I took off my headphones, as this was more entertaining than listening to music, and the young man asked me if I'd like to join, so I said sure! He was very polite, and stopping the game when there were people walking by. He also asked if I'd like to be his friend, and I said sure, and introduced myself to him and his grandma, he shook my hand. His mom came by with a snack for him, so he sat down with grandma and I, and mentioned to his grandma that he was thirsty, so I offered him my unopened water I had with me, he was very appreciatave and thanked me without being prompted to.
When my husband came to pick me up, Jordan (my new young friend), opened the car door for me, and gave me a hug goodbye.
If his mom or grandma Shannon is reading this, you've raised a VERY well mannered young man, you should be commended!
We are missing our beloved barn cat, Nuka.
Neutered, one year old male. Very friendly and well socialized. Known to wander to surrounding properties but never far from home. He is always home for meal times and is notorious for coming home when called. Nuka has been missing since Sunday morning. He is missed.

Today i took my 3 children to micmac to enjoy the new dinosour play structure. A man showed up with no children looked to be late 40's early 50's. He watched one little girl jump and play for a solid minute and a half. Then his eyes met mine and he looked away quickly. He sat at a picnic table then moved to another where he had a perfect view of both the splashpad from a distance and the play structure. I watched as this man very creepily stared at children as they ran and played. After about 10 or 15 minutes and still no sign of any of these children being wih this man i gathered my children, told the life guards at the pool what i had witnessed and then took 3 disappointed children out of the park. I may have been over reacting this man could have been harmless but you cant be too careful with precious children.mparents be careful and keep a watchful eye. I got a very bad vibe from this man.
A huge thank you to Dr. Suga and the labor and delivery staff who helped bring our little girl into the world July 19, 2015. We didn't get the chance to thank Dr. Suga as I had a c-section for a breech baby but know that you were awesome and kept me calm (we were expecting to have another week or so). You and the staff were amazing...thank you everyone from the bottom of our hearts :)
Dr. SIon you have been spotted. During a visit to the ER at Met Campus with a broken finger, I was referred to Dr. Sion. Wow! He was so informative, friendly, and patient. He had me see an Occuptational Therapist at the Prince Rd Campus to be fitted for a splint. Once again, she was super duper. Her name is Mary Ann Bender and a shout to her receptionist also for her kindness. Big thanks!
Just seems anymore that some customer service is a bit shy in the "making you feel welcome department" if you know what I'm saying.
This is is a shout out to the staff at the Mac's on Campbell at College. You guys are always fantastic and I'm sure you don't get a lot of recognition for it. I work varying shift and when I come in for my smokes and occasional red bull or subway, either in the morning or in the middle of the night you guys always have what I need and greet and recognize me personally. This totally shows you know and care for your customers. :)
Keep up the great work!
Sincerely the guy who "lives in the neighborhood".
Friendly 2 year neutered male tabby.
He went outside Thursday July 16 have not seen him since. Wearing black collar with silver colored studs with a rabies tag. Lives in this area on cottage place in the villages . It's not like him to be away so long. He could be lost, hiding in a back yard or stuck in someone's home.
WE MISS HIM SO MUCH! !

After a long day in michigan to get medical treatment for my back I was instructed to do some stretching and light activity. When i got home i changed into gym clothes and when I got to my car I noticed a flat tire (for the second time this year). No one was around and I had never fixed a tire before. My neighbours house is up for sale and the house was being shown to a potential buyer. A young man stepped out of his car and asked if i needed help. I absolutely did so in the 90 degree weather, he grabbed the donut from my truck which i couldn't lift because if my back and he got on his hands and knees and fixed my tire. I would just like to say thank you to Cody from century 21 ...and I hope you didn't get into too much trouble for being late for dinner. It was much appreciated
