Phone Conversations

I may be old fashioned however I still think that there is a time and a place for manners to kick in. Tonight, while at Dollarama, standing in line , there was a woman ahead of us. She was talking on her cell phone. So loud that everyone within ear shot could hear her. There was no eavesdropping required. I will not repeat verbatim what her side of the conversation was, but I will say all she bought was some candy bars. I and others in line thought this was very rude of her. Not only did we hear her side of the conversation, but when it was her turn at the till, she continued to have her conversation with unknown party on the other end of the line. The poor cashier was so disrespected by this woman. Yes that is disrespect when you cannot even bother to end a call in order to talk to another person handling your purchases.

To my way of thinking, if said party called her, while she was in the store she could have said that she was busy and would call them back. If she made the call, there are other places she could have done that. The entire store does not want to hear your personal conversations. Just because a cell phone is portable does not mean that you need to carry on a conversation where ever you happen to be. People do it in the banks, at the doctors, where ever they happen to be. I am grateful that the conversation was not about sex, and yes I have heard one sided conversations about that in public. If you do not want the entire world to know what you are talking about, who you are talking about, or what activities you are planning or not, don't hold a private conversation in public. That is what your home is for!

Dave from caa

Was at work this morning and noticed my tire was flat, called CAA and Dave came filled the tire and said it was an easy fix but he didn't have the piece that I would have to stop after work and get it done. Well about an hour later he was back and fixed the tire. He said he was thinking about me in this heat after a long day at work and having to deal with the tire so he got the part came back and fixed it. He went above and beyond what an awesome guy thank you again Dave from CAA

Lost E bike

I'm posting this for my nephew.
His E bike was stolen from the area of Pillette Rd and Plymouth Rd.
It's lime green.
To the person who stole it, would you please put it back. It is the only source of transportation he has. He didn't ride it just for fun. He needs it for work. My nephew barely makes ends meet each month and cannot afford to get another one.
So, please if anyone knows of the whereabouts of this e bike let us know. Thank you and God bless.

Found Dog

Is this your pup? I think he is an Akita mix. He was found running down the path on tecumseh road east next to the car dealerships that leads to esplanade dr. Next to the little River. He went behind the row houses on Esplanade. He seemed friendly but would not come to us when we called out to him. He looked very thirsty, there's lots of water around but I'm not sure if it's safe for pups to drink.
