Caring woman

On Friday Oct. 4th at 3:45 PM on Tecumseh Road East in front of Avenue Pawn Shop I was arriving at work and our building is across the street from the pawn shop. I drive a big Ram and it does not fit in our parking lot so I am forced to park across the busy Tecumseh Road. There is no crosswalk close by or stop lights so I have to cross when I can(usually run). But this very kind woman saw me standing in the middle of the turn lane and stopped her vehicle blocking dozens of cars in her lane to allow me to cross. Little did you know the the reason I did not run in front of you even though I had plenty of time to safely do so is because I went through surgery a few days prior and cannot over exercise while the "tube" remains inside me. So I'd like to thank you for being one of the few people who care in this city. Also to the people who see this that were behind her, I apologize for taking my time to cross but the lane next to you did not feel they should be nice and wait for 5 seconds of their life. So I could not cross until it was clear. But thank you for being patient as well! I paid it forward later in the day while driving the company car. THANK YOU.

For you

Please can children be reminded or instill in them to open their minds and hearts to others?
On a morning walk, came across a young student not in school. Briefly, she said she was having a difficult time with the kids (she changed schools). I spoke a few words of encouragement, and offered to talk more.
I'm omitting a lot of details of this event/ dialogue because it's not necessary. The importance is that we take care of each other; especially the young ones who have so much life to live.
My heart hurts for her still, and I really hope for the better...

Thank you to this woman

Thank you to the woman who shows her patience & generosity to the j& j Lepera workers in heritage park... most people are angry with construction and then you have the ones in the community that love to give to others.

KUDOS to all the drivers

Kudos to all the drivers this early afternoon juggling through the traffic on Ouellette into Dougal. With all the construction it was absolutely amazing to see the drivers using the zipper merge method. And successfully. This is the first time I've seen it done here at all. Too many drivers fighting this method. It worked absolutely well and all involved thank you for that. It was great to see.

Car Break-In

To the douche-bag who broke into my car, and took my & my husband's new workout gloves...really? Are you that desperate? What exactly do you plan to do with ladies leopard print workout gloves? I assume you're going to hawk them for drugs...or cigarettes, since you left some ash on the front passenger side seat. I realize in the grand scheme of things, we got off lucky. However, you've managed to steal my peace of mind... I will now be investing in some security measures, to try and prevent this from happening again. As if it's not obvious, please keep an eye on your vehicles, lock your doors, and do not leave anything of value in your vehicle, even if it's hidden. This happened near Chappell & Matchette, just off of Mic Mac Park. Thank you.

To the lady at Walmart

To the lady at Walmart on dougall, I cant thankyou enough for the generosity you showed towards me and paying for my formula and diapers when I could have paid for it myself. Good Samaritan Stopping Hit of a Pedestrian

I would like to thank the man who said something to the driver of a white Lincoln MKZ on Monday, September 30, 2019, at approximately 1:00 p.m. at Costco. I had just left the sidewalk of Costco to cross the two lane driveway to head to the parking lot near the gas pumps. I was walking several feet behind the white Lincoln MKZ when it was heading toward Legacy Park Drive. It stopped at the intersection and a white Ford Ranger turned left out of the left side and then the white Lincoln driver decided to put his car in reverse. I saw it coming at me, screamed and jumped away as much as I could but he didn't stop until a man on the sidewalk at the entrance of Costco said something. The driver put his car into park angrily, swung open his door and went at the customer on the sidewalk. The man on the sidewalk was then pointing at me and saying, "that lady right behind your car! You nearly ran her right over!" The older gentleman driver just kept getting in the customer's face, saying, "do you have a problem?!?" the customer just repeated what he said and pointing at me. I picked up my purse off the driver's car and went to my vehicle. I was shaken as there was less than a finger's width between the driver's bumper and my legs. If the man on the sidewalk had not said what he did when he did, I would be in the hospital or morgue right now, instead of just a sore elbow and bruises. Thank you to the customer!! Thank you so much!!!! I hope the driver's arrogance will diminish due to the fact that the customer stopped him from being charged with seriously injuring or killing a pedestrian. The driver owes the man a serious apology and a debt of gratitude. I was in such shock I just went to my vehicle and sat shaking. Two Costco employees came to me and were in disbelief the driver didn't run me over or seriously hurt me. Thank you again to them for their concern and I am sorry I did not thank the man who stopped the whole incident from being far worse. God put him there at the right time for me and I am extremely thankful!!!

Young woman at Devonshire Mall

My husband dropped me at the Devonshire Mall entrance near Moxey's restaurant. In order to let me off as close to the door as possible he stopped in the bus area. I had a bag full of equipment to return to the Cogeco store. I use a cane due to a bad knee and the bag was heavy. He couldn't do the return because the account is in my name. As I was entering the mall a young woman who was having a cigarette offered to discard her cigarette and help me with my bag. I was a bit abrupt when I said thank you for offering but I could manage because the Cogeco store wasn't far. I hope she sees this because I want her to know how much I appreciated her gesture. I was abrupt because I hate to accept that I am not as young as I once was and hate to accept my limitations. A big shout out to her for her thoughtfulness.
