Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
I was trying to cross the street with my son in the stroller at tecumseh to go tecumenical mall. (not sure what side street it's called) on Thursday morning however the lights where out and a school bus driver opened the door to allow us to cross the street safely, however that did not stop one person who tried to continue driving through. Well not only did this driver help us cross the street but respectively stuck up for my son and I when the car almost hit us. Thank you ,,

Last week my husband, son and I went shopping at pier one. You were there and talking and smiling at my son. You asked how old he was and when we told you you said he needed something special. You ran back behind the store and gave us $5 in which you insisted we take it and buy him a few books from the dollarstore. You told us most of your grandkids lived out west and when you handed us the money you had tears in your eyes. I want to know how much your act of kindness meant to us. It's so good to see people like you in our city. My wish is that my son grows up to have as much love in his heart as you do. Thank you so much again! You have been spotted !!

This morning (Oct 7) between 6am and 12pm, my daughter had dental surgery. She has autism and I really didn't know what to expect. The staff at Met were amazing. Kind, gentle and understanding. My daughter didn't do very well once she was in recovery, but everyone remained calm and supportive.
My youngest had the same surgery back in June and the staff was wonderful then as well.
I just want to thank everyone who worked today. You made a very traumatic experience for both of us much easier. Thank you! I hope you all see this!
On Tuesday, at the Walker Rd Superstore, the lady in front of us at checkout gave us her free ham. We've decided to bring it to a birthday party. From all of us, thank you!
I just wanted to take the time to recognize the very nice man who helped me at Costco today. As I was beginning to check out, my cart full of groceries, my 7 month old son STARTED to melt down. You see, it was around 3pm and my baby had missed his nap. Trying to avoid a screaming scene, I choose to pick my baby up, that left me with one hand to load my purchases. The man behind me, came right up and started helping.. He was just so thoughtful and understanding. Instead of getting frustrated and angry he helped me and made my day so much nicer and my afternoon so much more pleasant. He reloaded my cart while I paid and then bid me a good day!!!!! I hope he or his family or friends see this.. I just wanted him to know what a difference he made in my day and to thank him for his random act of kindness and for him to know, his thoughtfulness did not go unnoticed. THANK YOU AGAIN!!!
I found a bag of clothes in a Walmart bag in front of the East End location at 5:30 p.m. today. Just purchased with a bill inside. I gave the bag to the 1C bus driver. Bus number was 675. I hope it finds its way to whomever lost it.
