Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
This is not child related but I could use some help. I lost my wedding ring over the summer in the Tecumseh/ Belle River area, I reported it to the police but it hasn't been turned in. It has my engagement ring, wedding band and 1st anniversary band soldered together, the brand is Simon G. I received a cheque from our insurance to replace it 4 months ago, I understand it's just an object but I can't bring myself to replace it. That's the ring my husband put on my finger when we got married, it made me smile every time I put it on my finger, I miss it SO much. I'm just not ready to get just another ring, this is my last desperate attempt to find it before I go get another one, even though I feel like it's still out there, I just don't feel right not wearing a ring. If anyone has any information please let me know. Thank you
This evening we went to McDonald's in the east end Walmart to celebrate my daughters 7th birthday with my grandmother. While there and finishing our dinner a very sweet lady walked over and wished my daughter a happy birthday handed her and my son each a toonie for a sundae. They were both so thankful! Your kind gesture has made us want to pay it forward! Not sure how just yet but we will pay it forward!! Thank you again!
This so heartbreaking to me and my family. Last night, Nov 24, my car was broken into. I live in LaSalle. (Spucewood/ Matchette subdivision). The few things that they took can be replaced except for my Mother's ashes!!! I kept them in a silver and glass jar in my glove box as my "Guardian Angel" when I'm driving. If you have them or know of someone that does, please return them. They mean nothing to you. We can even agree on a mutual place that you can leave them anonymously, or even mail them back to me. No questions asked. All will be forgiven.
Just wanted to send a friendly reminder to Windsor, that during the holidays we must respect all. This message is specifically towards our retail workers. During the holidays, it gets extremely overwhelming for us, but, speaking for myself, I usually love the busy store. With that being said, I just wanted to send out a reminder that during these busy holidays we are working earlier mornings and later nights. We try to go above and beyond for all of our customers. Understandably, everyone is overwhelmed, both retail workers and customers, the one thing we ask of you is to try to keep your spirits high. One rude comment from a customer can totally tamper a cashiers day. Please try and remember to stay friendly! Thank you and happy holidays !!
To the emergency room nurse who was working the front counter this afternoon/ evening, thank you for being so kind and helping my family member today. You are truly in the right calling and make one exceptional nurse, which was evident in just the short time I was able to see your calm and patient demeanour. Thank you so much, your hard work has not gone unnoticed.
Lost my wallet leaving Walmart on Dougall last night around 8:15 pm. Besides all my ID'S as well as my children's there several gift cards intended for Christmas; my permanent resident card and ultimately my dad's picture with his writing on it (he passed 10 months ago) so yes there was done sentimental value to it. I'm raising my kids to always be honest and return what doesn't belong to them even if the item wax found in the middle on nowhere but I guess not everyone has high moral values!
It is turquoise in color and 3x7 inches big aprox.if you have it and are reading this please return it.
Thanks.
We are leaving for vacation for two weeks and is looking for a good caring doggy day care or doggy motels in Windsor area that we can trust our 5 year old bichon with. Preferably at a good price. If anyone knows any please let me know.
Spotted in the alley way behind the Windor Police Association on Windsor - bags of fresh peppers and tomatoes. Seemed like an odd find at 7am this morning! They were still there at 8am. They look to be in perfect condition!
