Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
A sincere thank you to the gentleman driving the Champion products truck who took the time to help me with my stalled vehicle. I was very stressed as I was keeping traffic from moving and had alot of people honking at me. Thank you and know that I will do an act of kindness in your honour today. 😀❤🍁
Thurs night, Oct 31 I was driving to work and stopped at McDonald's on Drouillard for a coffee, I went through the drive thru and as I was exiting a man driving a black dodge Dakota sped very fast into the parking lot from Tec Rd. I drove behind him as he parked, I rolled down my window and told him he doesn't need to speed in a parking lot, he decided to start screaming at me, saying I was in the wrong for exiting when I did when clearly I was not in his way. He made fun of the work shirt I was wearing saying I need to get rid of my $5.00 shirt, he was yelling and swearing at me, I told him I was reporting him to the police because I have his make, model and license plate #, and he was clearly in the wrong but is just a rude , ignorant and very disrespectful person, I also have a description of the guy. You are a mean individual and should go back to driving school. I will also be contacting McDonald's corporate because I would like to know when exiting a drive thru or driving into a parking lot who exactly has the right of way?
Yesterday while I was leaving Chrysler I witnessed the most childish road rage from a 40 something year old man in a white BMW. A young girl turned onto techumseh from a side street into the closest lane but clearly wanted to turn left so she had to get into the left lane which was backed up due to a red light. She had her turn signal on so I waved her in. She waved back at me however didn't have quite enough room to completely get into the left lane. Everyone in front of you started to inch up except for you. She gave you a little beep to let you know she was blocking the right lane and if you also inched forward she could fully get into the lane and stop blocking traffic. You moved up, all is well. But then when the light turned green and everyone in front of you went, you did not. She honked at you, yes as would any other Chrysler worker trying to get home. Then you did the most childish thing I have ever witnessed on the road. You didn't move out of spite. Did you see the 30 cars behind you that you stopped from getting home? All because what? That girl used her horn properly? Also, she LAID on her horn at you for what seemed like 2 minutes while you sat there and gave her the finger. Then when she was fed up and went around you in the left turn lane up to the light where you wanted to turn YOU TRIED TO RACE HER AND GET AS CLOSE TO HER AS POSSIBLE TRYING TO SCRAPE THE SIDE OF HER CAR. I watched her have to swerve into oncoming traffic to avoid you hitting her. How childish are you? Maybe get off your phone and pay attention to the road and she wouldn't of had to honk at you. And when she does be a grown up and just move up so she can get in??? You also probably didn't realize that everyone watching you do this works with you at Chrysler. You should really grow up and stop driving if you have so much rage inside of you. It's Chrysler we're all just trying to get home.
Today my car died right in the middle of the road. I was on Seminole just before Drouillard. I put on my four way flashers and waited for my help to arrive. I realize that this inconvenienced some people but there was nothing I could do. One couple in a truck stopped and asked if I would like to be moved out of the way. I told them my husband was on his way but they said they would push me. I just wanted to reach out and say thanks once again. Your kindness was greatly appreciated.
I just left Metro on Wyandotte St. in the east end. An elderly man in a wheelchair stopped me and gave me a carnation with a card stating "For you because you are special " and it was signed MOPS. I thanked him and when I got to the cashier, I asked what MOPS stood for. None of the cashiers knew, but said he comes into the store periodically and purchases fresh flowers from his own pocket and spends a lot of money. I went back into the store and found him buying more flowers. I asked him what MOPS stood for and chuckled, because he pointed to himself and said Miserable Old POS. I thanked him again for the flower and the chuckle he gave me.
To the small car that was driving down Milloy on Thursday night at 6:30... I wasn't honking at you like a crazy person because I was being a jerk. I was trying to tell you that you left your pizza in the roof of your car when you picked it up at Naples! When I was stopped behind you at Central, I tried to yell out my window but you didn't hear me. Unfortunately, as you drove on, I saw the pizza slide off into the road. I called the restaurant to tell them, in case you thought that you had left it there. I'm hoping that the offered to replace it for you if you went back.
I just wanted to say thank you to the Good Samaritan that brightened more lives than he thinks today. Thank you for helping the man down on his luck. Thank you for making me smile. Thank you for bringing up the subject of generosity and kindness in my vehicle on our way home from a crazy day. My three kids and I were on our way home from an errand filled day, when we seen a Good Samaritan giving a bag of food to the guy that is down on his luck on howard going towards the mall. I snapped a quick picture (I know, bad me having my phone out) just so we had proof that there are still people out there that care for strangers.
