Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
Earlier today I was in the middle of a movie at home after a long day of work when my doorbell rang. I'm all excited because I never get random knocks at my door seeing as though I just recently moved into the neighbourhood a few months ago. I open the door and it's my neighbours daughter from a couple doors down holding a huge tray of baked goods for me, all home made. Honestly the sweetest thing and it totally made my week. There's nothing that could say thank you enough for your generosity. I obviously had to taste test everything because I love sweets :) Incredible. Thank you neighbours! Merry Christmas!!
My girlfriend and I were at the McDonalds today at Drouillard and Tecumseh and we were unable to purchase our lunch because of an error. A worker there decided to pay for our food. Thank you so much Meribeth, I wish I had something to give you for helping us!
I got off the Bus in front of Walmart on Tec Rd E. and a gentleman was behind me. It was pouring rain and he asked where I was heading and I said Walmart. He then said he was headed there also and shared his Umbrella with me. Just wanted to let him know he was spotted. Thanks again :)
Every act of kindness, regardless of how small, deserves to be mentioned. This happened to me today around 5:15 pm at the FreshCo on Tec. Rd. E. at McDougall. I happened to need a few things, then got in line to wait. There was a father there wearing a suit jacket that read Windsor Chapel Funeral home. He was shopping with his two young sons. He placed the divider between our orders and then said to the cashier, please include her items with mine. I was speechless for a couple minutes but it meant so much to me! Thank you kind sir and Merry Christmas!
My family and I just spent the last eight or so hours in the ER at Met Hospital. We wanted to acknowledge the hard work, dedication and compassion displayed by Triage nurse Shane. The night was long with many people passing through and he never stopped being kind and caring. He truly is a credit to his profession. Thank you Shane!!!
While shopping at Costco today, a young man kept staring at me. He apologized for staring but he thought he recognized me. He asked me if I remembered him, unfortunately I did not. He stated he was a student at Mac Hall at the University of Windsor about 5 years ago. He was going through a rough time and I took the time to give him words of wisdom. He said that conversation changed him and he was thankful that I took the time to comfort him. This brought a tear to my eye. That day I wasn't just the cleaning lady, I was his mentor.
To the people who lost their Star Wars tickets which I found in Devonshire mall last night - I hope you returned to the theatre ticket booth and picked them up. That would suck so bad to have missed it! Hopefully you made it to your show and it didn't ruin your day. I haven't seen it yet so No Spoilers!
Our Beagle rocky took off from the 1200 block of partington yesterday and has yet to return home. Dear west end friends if you see him please post or call (519) 981 0220 THANK YOU!!!!
