I received a Thank you card in the mailbox for "Susan" from "Brett from Shoppers' Drug Mart". No sending or return address, no stamp. It was just placed in the box.
We live on the corner of Rankin and Vercheres, no Susan lives here. I'd love to get the card to the right person, or return it to Brett so he can get it to her.
A kind gesture should never be lost in the mail.
Today as I was exiting the FreshCo at the Ambassador Plaza on Huron Church I spotted something heartwarming. There was a homeless man sitting on some cardboard, obviously cold (no winter coat) in front of the store. Most people walked by, except for one generous young man. He looked to be a student at the University of Windsor or St. Clair College and as he was leaving with his groceries he struck up a conversation with the man. He shook his hand and wished him well. Ultimately he ended up giving the homeless man half of his groceries, and a few water bottles. He had a modest car, and didn't look very wealthy. I thought it was beautiful that he left the store with less than half of what he bought. It's nice to know there are still good people out there.
I would like for him to know that good deeds do not go unnoticed.
I just want to know what your opinions are on school bus drivers that drive your children/ grandchildren to school. good? bad? down right horrible? please comment.
Also, how much are you suppose to tip a school bus driver around the holidays?
This morning me and my huaband woke up to go to work , as we were on our way out the door we noticed the car didnt look right , the passenger door was open just enough , so my husband checked the car to see if one of us may have forgetten to close the door but then he realized we didnt because he set the alarm on the car last night and our alarm wont set unless all the car doors are properly closed. Then he looked through the car , everything was thrown everywhere, they rumaged through all our stuff & stole a decent amount of change , didnt take the dvd player , clearly they were just looking for change. So just wanted to give everyone that lives in the pierre & erie neighborhood a heads up that this happened to us so im sure it could happen to someone else too. Becareful everyone !!
Lost these keys a few weeks ago in the Sam's pizza area. Four keys all together but on two separate rings (2 a ring). Let me know, $100 reward.
To the woman who almost went through a red light on Huron Church and Tecumseh and almost hit someone. Was it funny? You backed up and we pulled ahead to see who it was. You were talking on your phone and laughing. I didn't think it was funny. See people like you anger people like us who care. I hope that one day you don't get a call that a friend or family member was killed by someone on their phone. Now that wouldn't be funny, would it?
Today my husband and I took our kids out to breakfast with a group of friends at Marija's Place. When it came to pay the bill we were told a man named David had paid for most of our bill because our kids were very well behaved and that he does this often. We were very grateful and happy to see the good in some people. Thank you very much David!
