Waitress at Mamo Burger

To the awesome waitress at Mamo burger tonight. My fiance and I were in there for dinner, when my fiance got his burger they had forgotten his bacon. A simple mistake but she notified the manager and we got complimentary milkshakes! Thank you for your amazing service and the milkshakes! You've been spotted!

Hit and run !

I normally wouldn't post this but it angers me that somebody out there can go on with their day without a guilty conscience. On February 12th while working, my car was hit in the Freshco plaza on Malden Rd between the hours of 9-3pm. There was no note left, and unfortunately the cameras were no help because of where I was parked. I realize it's a long shot, but if anybody happened to see anything, please come forward. There is quite some damage on the car. A police report has also been issued. Thank you so much for the help!

Albert RD (1500-1800 block)

Friday night someone decided to take a Joy ride down Albert Rd. They started at Tecumseh Rd and ended at Seminole (not sure if they went past that). They smashed in people's drivers side mirrors. I drove down the street and counted 17 cars. Its a shame. We work hard (people work hard) to own cars, to pay insurance and take pride in what we work for, just to have someone vandalize our property like that and others property. These people obviously don't have anything they take pride in OR never worked hard for anything!
I have two cars that I now have to get mirrors replaced on, at my expense!
Shame on you! I hope you're found and charged!
Thanks a bunch!!

Stand up for yourself

I just took my dog to the vet today for a check-up, booster shots, rabies and Lyme. I even called before hand to get a quote at $118. On my visit today the vet was like a tornado in and out after the shots, did not examine my young dogs teeth/ gums, hips(as he is a very large dog that's always a concern) didn't ask if I had any questions and barely spoke to me in fact. My dog lost 5lbs since the last time he was weighed, I had many questions to ask however the vet didn't give me the time of day. He listened to the nervous dogs heart with a stethoscope and he stated the dogs ears were dirty and infected. (Even though they weren't red or bothering the dog at all. His staff cleaned them and without even asking my consent administered antibiotics. When all was said and done my bill was over $300.
I was charged 60$ for the exam fee which wasn't thorough or even meeting minimum standards, $50 for a q-tip swipe of the ear for the vet to look visually and state there was an infection running no tests at all and $60x2 bottles for the medication I didn't even know I was getting, but when all was said and done was already used by my dog and unable to reuse. I won't name the clinic on here, but the lesson I learned today is to ask questions even if they move to quickly. I feel like the fast talking Whirlwind of an "exam" was part of their tactics to sneak things into the bill.
Please don't misinterpret that I don't care for my dogs and I don't think I know more than the vet, but the amount that they charge I expect to be able to question the vet with my concerns. Seems as though another vet trip will be in the furture to figure out what I went for in the first place.
Lesson learned for me, I'm sharing this so it doesn't happen to you too!

Helpful women

I'm nine months pregnant, a single mom with three other children. I had a doctor's appointment today with the o.b., Dr. Jasey at his office on walker and Tecumseh. Unfortunately I had no ride or babysitter for my 22 month old, so I took a cab there. When I arrived, the woman working the desk saw me pushing the stroller while trying to also carry the carseat and diaper bag ( wasn't easy) . She was nice enough to let me in right away. I was seen and out the door in ten minutes. After that a very nice lady in the hallway saw me struggling and helped me to the main door to wait for my cab ride home. Then another woman helped me lug everything into the cab when she noticed I was having more trouble. (I'm 3 cm dilated and in alot of pain) I was overwhelmed by the kindness of all these complete strangers that could have easily ignored me. You all have restored my faith in humanity! Thank you soooo much for your help...oh and also to the two very polite young women who held the doors for me!

Impatient Drivers

Today, my son was out driving on Cora Greenwood. As a new driver, he is accustomed to following the rules of the road. Unfortunately, not everyone does. We heard you honking your horn, in frustration no doubt, probably because we were driving 'too slow' for you. I'm sorry we were slowing you down, by driving the speed limit. Something very uncommon nowadays, when so many are in such a hurry. It's people like you who make it very difficult for people like us to teach our kids how to drive properly, and obey the laws of the road - laws that apply to you too, by the way. So the next time you're following someone who is driving a bit slower than you're accustomed too, why don't you chill, and think back to when you were a novice driver, and how cautious and maybe a bit nervous you may have been, so that you can have a little more patience and understanding for those just starting out.
