Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
My family and I have been purchasing from Sunglass Hut for many years and usually not the greatest experiences from a few that we've dealt with. Armani has changed our experience for the better! The amazing customer service and the going out of her way to take care of my daughters and it will never go un noticed or forgotten. We drove out from leamington and you've made sure you solved our problem on the spot so we wouldn't have to make another drive back. Thank you for making our experience a great one, and I encourage everyone to go into Sunglass hut and ask for Armani!
-One happy customer :)
To the young gentleman at the cash tonight at the riverside Giant Tiger. You my dear, have an amazing personality and made me smile. You were so kind to my children and the way you interacted with them was heart warming. I could instantly tell what a good person you are! Thank you!
I want to send out a huge thank you to the wonderful gentleman that was ahead of myself and my two daughters at The Shawarma Shack on Walker Road. The 3 of us had gone for a late dinner since my oldest worked until 7. We walked in and placed our order and waited for it to be made. We found a table to sit down at and were chatting about our days, the gentleman ahead of us got his order and left. Once the man left the employee came out to inform us that the gentleman ahead of us had paid for our order and called it a "Random Act of Kindness". I was totally caught off guard and couldn't thank the man because he made sure to tell the employee that he couldn't tell us until he was gone. Please know that you made our night and we felt so blessed. The 3 of us can not Thank You enough. So from myself and my 2 girls.....THANK YOU! You have not gone unnoticed and I commit to pay it forward when given the opportunity.
Today while waiting in the drive-thru at Tim Horton's I witnessed something that made me glad I woke up this morning. This older lady with one of those pull carts had it on the sidewalk and it tipped over. There was a car behind me in the drive-thru and 2 older teenagers open the door and start crossing the street to get to her. I don't even think 30 seconds passed before they were on the way across to lend a hand. The one young lady talked to the older woman while the younger boy was picking up everything that had fallen. The girl was holding her hand and they were having a laugh together and it was something that made me smile more then I have recently. The other friend driving the car was in the drive-thru behind me still while his friends were across the street. The only thing I could think of was to pay for their order. When I got up to the window and asked to pay for their coffee the lady stated the car in front of me had already asked to pay for their order(they must have witnessed what I did.) I ended up buying for the car behind them, just because.
Stuff like this happens everywhere, everyday! We never get a chance to witness it all, which makes me glad I am able to share this story with everyone on here. Today was a good day and I'm still smiling from how awesome some people really can be.
Keep shining Windsor
Driving down 7300 stretch of Malden late last night and a huge coyote crossed the road right in front of us. I've heard of them around here but never seen one. He was big and not scared of us as we drove by. 😳
I would like to thank Magdalena and staff from Floral Scapes in Windsor for sending my Grandparents a beautiful long stem rose bouquet after seeing their story in The Windsor Star. They were truly touched. We think they are amazing and it is fantastic to see other people see that too.
Thank you!!!!
I was at city hall this morning and was there longer than I thought I would be. I came out and some stranger saw my ticket expired so they put theirs on my mine so that I wouldn't be issued a ticket. God bless them. It shows that there are still some good people left. In life we rely on the kindness of strangers more than our friends.
ROLL CALL! ATTENTION all parents, teachers, principles, older siblings, grand parents, aunts and uncles.
I need you to help me help the school aged kids that are getting bullied via a website called Yik Yak. Its a social networking app that allows the user to post vile things while remaining anonymous.
As if bulling isnt hard enough now to have this virtual bathroom wall where there is zero recourse for the things said. Now im asking for you help to get involved and see what your kids are doing.. check their phones for this bully app and educate yourself on the nature its being used and if you child is the target of the nasty things being said. Most of these interactions are at school as you have to be with in close proximity for the users to see and interact with the posts. So this begs the question...why are these kids using their phones in class? I was not aware this existed until today as you might not be aware whats on your child phone (sending or receiving these messages) or whats happening in your own class room I hope that it helps some of you and will help get some of the negative post off that site and bring it to the schools attention of whats happening there.
