Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
Daughter finally was able to move into a home on the weekend. Her young daughter let the dog out the wrong door . of course he ran off. He is med size Doberman has full tail ans ears. Black with a little bit of brown spots on face and toes. His name is bear. Lost and ran around Central and Ontario area.
My daughter & I decided to go to Devenshire mall on Satuday to browse and purchase some new cloths. We decided to go into Bluenotes when a lovely lady came up to to me and asked me if I would be purchasing anything from the store. I told her oh yes, this is one of my favourite stores, and than she very kindly said to me, ' I have a gift card for this store but I can't find anything I like here, would you like to have it? Of course I said, oh no that's ok, but she insisted. I excepted, thanked her and told her I would pay it forward. It was very kind of her to do what she did and I wanted her to know her generosity didn't go without notice. Thank you!
A wonderful friend of mine, who happens to be legally blind was telling me about a wonderful store on Lincoln Road called Once Again. He stops in there once a month on his way to see his wife, to look for shoes to wear to church. He said the girls there are amazing and they help him SEE the shoes. They guide him through the store, explain the shoes in full detail and always make him feel comfortable. Then he went on to say they also walk him out of the store across the street to the more level sidewalk so he can continue in his walk more safely.
I just want to say you ladies are amazing and I will tell everyone to shop at such a great store with wonderful customer appreciation.
Thank you from all of us in the WINDSOR blind community.
Thank you, thank you, to the person who paid it forward at Tim Hortons, at Manning and 42. On Friday 10am ish. I have paid it forward a few times and now I have received. Great way to start my sisters weekend! Happy Friday!
FYI this person paid it forward for quite a few people as I was the seventh car. The employees were great and laughing, wondering how many more cars were going to get free coffee.
Today while at Zehrs on Lauzon, I walked passed a mother and her girls. One of them was wearing a baby doll carrier and when I got close I saw something. I approached them and said, "OMG what is that? Is that a kitten?" It sure was! A teeny little tabby named "Lola" all snug as a bug and fast asleep. Well, as a crazy cat lady I just about died it was so cute. If my cats were smaller I would totally do that (much to my husband's dismay haha).
So thank you Lola and co. for making this crazy cat lady's heart (And ovaries) explode. It put a smile on my face :)
Signed,
Crazy Cat Lady
Just wanted to do a shout out to the staff at MET Hospital's Medical Day Care 4th floor. For the past 3 Friday's I have been going to get Iron IV's done. The staff there have been Kind, Gentle, Caring and Friendly. Let's not forget Attentive. This Morning it was Sarah, Christine and Natasha but I have had different Nurses too in the 3 weeks. ALL have been the same way. Thank you for being so helpful and caring to all of us patients. It's HIGH time that people start thanking the people who are there to help you. The old saying is "you get more Bees with Honey than you do with Vinegar. " Over this 3 weeks I have met many nice people who all have a story of their own to tell. I just wanted to day You've ALL been spotted. Thank you.
Dentist visits can be a pain, especially if you're a single parent taking yourself and your child to the dentist. Today I took my almost three year old to the dentist, I was worried about how she would do as she has an issue with strangers. The staff at Dr. PRSA's office were all amazing including Dr.prsa himself! While getting my teeth cleaned I heard my daughter laughing and giggling in the other room, I heard her talking with Dr.prsa about teeth brushing and them telling her about the instruments and what he does with them. When we left my daughter told me she had fun. This was her first visit and they were amazing!! Thank you Dr. Prsa and staff for all you did today.
Today at the Tim Hortons at Wyandotte and Lauzon, my husband who has Parkinson was trying to walk into the store and could barley walk. A young gentleman came to help him, asked him what he was getting, went into the store , purchased his coffee with his own money and brought it outside to him. It is nice to see we have such wonderful people here in Windsor.
