Chatham-Kent and Windsor Essex EMS, Firefighters, RNs and RPNs

On Wednesday April 20, 2016 I received a phone call from my mom letting me know that my Dad had had a heart attack and that Chatham EMS was bringing him to Windsor to the cath lab. He had 2 stints put in and remained in Windsor Hospital for 1 night and was transferred back to Chatham's hospital where he remained there for 2 more nights before being discharged.
Today, I was talking to him and he wanted me to post something, to find a way to get it to all the EMS workers, the Fire Department workers, all the RNs and RPNs from Chatham and Windsor that took care of him. He wanted to send out a big thank you for everything that you all do and for all the help you all provided for him and our family. I only know the names of the nurses that took care of him in Windsor. Sue and Mary from the CCU. He told me that he had a wonderful conversation with one of the nurses from Chatham, but I cannot remember her name.
He cannot believe the amount of knowledge that is needed to do what you all do and he said to tell you that you guys do not make enough to do what it is you do!! Thank you from the bottom of his heart as well as my whole family. My dad is now at home and is feeling good. Thank you all again from my dad and my family!

Thank you!

To the individual(s) who felt it necessary to steal my tailgate, thank you. It was a silly tailgate, I didn't need it to keep stuff IN the back of my truck...I mean, really, why do they put those things on pickups anyway?!

I just wanted to you to know that you should be proud of yourself(ves). It takes a skilled man (or woman) to go on to someone else's property, and physically remove pieces of their truck while parked in THEIR driveway. Your mother(s) raised some fantastic kid(s), I only hope that you, yourself, get to encounter the same actions of such wonderful humans! What goes around, comes around... Enjoy the tailgate, you obviously needed it more than I did.

Tailgate is off a black Dakota Sport w/ "DODGE" in red decals and part of the bedliner on it (which has probably been removed). It fits a '97-03. Taken from Gladstone ave.

To all the wonderful moms

To all the moms suffering in silence the battle of depression and anxiety I want you to know you are not alone and that you matter. It might suck right now and I know the feeling of you wanting to give up, that your kids would be better of without you but trust me I have been there and somedays it takes its toll on me too. BUT keep on fighting even if you just got out of bed today know that is enough and you already did a lot even when you just wanted to curl up and cry. Just like a winter storm it seems like it will last forever but eventually the sun comes out and the storm is over the light is shinning and it will within you too. If today was the only day that you felt in power and in control celebrate it reward yourself. I want to encourage you to reach out to someone, dont be scared to speak to someone a doctor, a councelor someone! (Sorry if wording is not the best but I just wanted to write this for someone needed to hear this today)

Thank you

To the amazing woman who was in the right place at the right time, thank you for going into the hospital to get my mom and grandma help. It may have seemed like a small gesture on your part but it meant the world to my mom.
Thank you to everyone who assisted in getting her into the ER
And THANK YOU to the ER staff at Windsor Regional Ouellette Campus, you were so incredibly kind and took such great care of her. I know she's in great hands. Thank you!!!

Good samaratin

I was leaving the walmart on dougal on Tues evening. When I reached in my pocket for my car keys I didn't know that I had dropped a $10 bill out of my pocket until a gentlemen called out to me. He came and have me the money saying I had dropped it. Who ever you are, you made may night knowing that there are honest people still out there. Yoy could have easily picked up the money and walked away. You've been spotted for your honesty

Lovely brand new Mom @ Giant Tiger

I just wanted to continue to encourage a lovely brand new Mom that I met at Giant Tiger today. I could see you were upset and on the verge of crying when your 7 week old baby was crying in the store. My heart went out to you! How I wished I could have held your little one and helped you. I was the one who told you that you were doing a great job. You smiled and said: "I really needed to hear that, I almost did not leave the house this morning". Keep up the great work!! Being a Mom is the toughest job ever and one day you will be able to see your wonderful efforts! God bless you and your little girl!

Enormous Thank You To A Very Generous Community!

On Friday April 22nd, Autism Services Incorporated will be hosting our 8th Annual Pasta Dinner Fundraiser with all proceeds benefiting The Bruce Awad Summer Program For Individuals With Autism, which ASI runs. As President and Fundraising Coordinator, I would like to give an enormous thanks to the very generous community we live in! We at ASI are completely overwhelmed by the Raffle Prizes, Silent Auction items, Corporate Sponsors and cheque donations that we have received over the past few weeks leading up to our event. I am speechless. This event would not be possible without this great community we live in. Also, to all the fine individuals in our community who have volunteered their precious time to help prep for the event, and to those working the night of, your manpower is truly appreciated. As for Friday night....LET'S DO THIS!!
