Spring babies

There are many new things the spring time offers. One is new born animals, wild animals. Every night while driving by a den of baby fox there are a group of people watching them play. Watching from a distance is one thing but people are getting too close! These are wild. Wild. They can carry diseases and if they become used to people as these are, they will stay within the houses. And grow up. Where they won't be so cute anymore when they kill your cat or come into your yard and fight with your dog. Perhaps when your kids are out there too. Please think. Oh they are so cute! And oh so wild. Let's keep it that way!

Amazing People at Tim Hortons

I have been having bad servicw at different Tim Hortons lately with long wait times or even attitude and I have been surprised!!! THAT ALL CHANGED! I am sittig at the Tim Hortons right now at the corner of Manning and Cty Road 42 and still feeling warm about the amazing service I just had. The two ladies working were incredibly passionate about giving amazing service and have amazing smiles! This is what brings customers back to the store. Considering that Origins is across the street and I have friends in this area, I want to make this a regular place to go :) Those two angels made my night :)

Scammers that leave a message

Not so much a 'spotting' as a 'hearing.'

So far today I've had 2 messages from the same scammer, basically telling me there is an arrest warrant in my name, and if they don't hear back from me at the given number, the results will be on my head.

It sounded "off," of course (who phones somebody to WARN them there's an arrest warrant out for them??) but I was curious, so called the number after the first message ... only to be connected with the Canada Revenue Agency's Tax Audit Department. The gentleman on the other end said RevCan NEVER calls people if there's a problem with their taxes; they send a registered letter.

First message was this morning; second was five minutes ago.

What kind of idiot scammers (a) leave a message, and (b) give you a phone number to a REAL government agency?!

Anyway, if you get this message, just snicker and delete it.

Grand Marais & Dominion Tim Hortons

At approximately 3:15 I was in the drive thru at Tim Hortons for a much needed coffee, when the gentleman ahead of me was so kind to pay. Thank you. After the week I have had, your kindness did not go unnoticed. As I left the drive thru I was still right behind you and wanted to jump out of my car and say thank you, buuuut I didn't think that would make the people behind me too happy lol

So if you see this, thank you!

Sincerely,

Girl in the black Hyundai

Scams

Someone called my mothers phone claiming they're canada revenue. They proceeded to tell her she owed money. When she told them that that is absurd and that the government doesn't just call people he told her he will send the police to have her arrested. Thankfully i have warned her literally 3 days prior of all these scams going around and she was prepared. People take this seriously and spread the message tell everyone you know. Never give out any personal information. I have called the general police line and the gentleman told me this has been happening too much lately and that canada revenue NEVER calls people. Spread the word especially to our elders who seem to be the scammers main target.

St Micheal - Please help me find her

Almost 4 years ago today, I went into Bonnie togs and met a woman who helped me pick out baby clothes. She did it with such grace. Of course it was her job, she worked there. I had anxiety about purchasing the items because I'd lost my daughter to SIDS the year prior. I didn't want to get excited about a baby that could be stolen from me again. This woman gave me the necklace on her neck and let me know she had lost her baby too. After four years and two healthy children later, I want to return her necklace. She was a complete stranger so plz share :)
