Kelseys

I would like to take a moment to thank the staff at Kelseys and their customers. On Wednesday evening my step-dad choked on his food. My mom tried to give him the heimlich manouver, and then 2 men came over to help. He passed out and wasnt breathing. There was a nurse there who did cpr until emts arrived. The staff handled everthing beautifully, and a huge thank you to them. Also to everyone else who helped, a huge thank you as well. My mom didnt get names as she was so upset. There was also a gentleman who came and asked for my step-dads name, and said they would pray for him. Thank you as well, the prayers helped. My step-dads condition is serious, but stable. At moments like this, all the small acts of kindness make such a huge difference, and my mom and our family are so grateful for all the help received from strangers. If anyone who was there that night sees this, know that you made a difficult time a little easier, and from the bottom of our hearts THANK-YOU!!!!

Thanking our Heroes

This past Father's Day, I was given the opportunity to observe the quick and caring actions of one of the community's heroes. There was a three car accident at Tecumseh Rd and Central Avenue which appeared to be quite serious. During the initial seconds of the collision, a young man in a red Dodge Ram pickup pulled up to the scene and blocked off the area with his truck. I learned he was a volunteer firefighter from Essex. His quick actions and caring attitude very quickly eased the fears of the two young children inside the car. He was quick to check everyone over to ensure everyone was ok and then came back to the young children (toddlers) and again checked to ensure they were ok. He talked to them and even got the little girl to laugh. It was heart warming that this young gentlemen who had his own family in his truck stopped to help others in need. As Windsor Fire arrived to the scene, he provided them with information on all involved and as fast as he pulled up to the accident he vanished. I never got a chance to say thank you to him for all that he and his fellow emergency workers do. So I want to give a public shout out to the Firefighter with the red Dodge pickup (nice truck by the way :) )from the Essex Fire Department for his quick and caring actions. We are blessed to have people like you serving in our communities. God Bless You and Keep You Safe!

The nurses at Met hosp

Today my 3 year old had a day surgery at met hospital. She was scared & uncomfortable with the whole situation. I was truly amazed by ever single nurse that we met today. We were greeted with smiles, pinwheels, stickers, dinosaurs and anything else that would make her happy. They all took the time to make sure her experience was as pleasant as possible and that Stella was well taken care of. Great job to all of you. Thank you for everything you do & the pride you take in your job.

Great Service

Firestone and Motor City Chrysler you both went above and beyond to help me today. Firestone came and checked my car when it decided to die and start smoking guiding me with all the steps to get it to Motor City. Motor City went above and beyond to help me get a loaner till my van can be fixed and the loaner happens to be a Jeep that my daughter loves. What a perfect way to bring her to her grad tonight.

Thanks to Mark, Hussain at FireStone and the amazing ladies at Motor City for easing my stress today

Good sumaritans

My car broke down this morning on Banwell Rd. While waiting for a tow truck with my daughter and grandson , 4 women offered assistance. To these ladies I give my thanks. One asked if we needed a ride. 2 young ladies in a Tecumseh town truck asked if we needed a boost I thank you. The biggest thanks goes to the lady at 919 Banwell who gave us water and a snack for my grandson. Thank you to all. On the other side of the coin, not one gentleman and asked if we needed help. YOU LADIES HAVE BEEN SPOTTED. THANK YOU.😊.
