Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
A big thank you to Zehrs on Malden Rd. from the crew at Alpine Construction Windsor Ltd. for dropping off cases of water, a cooler full of ice and the meat and veggie trays. We are all here on Victory in LaSalle in this heatwave doing what we do best....cleaning up, restoration, and everything else needed to do since last nights tornado swept through our region. How thoughtful of Zehrs to provide us with water, ice and food to keep us all going. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kind gesture. We appreciate it so much.
Fell at the Superstore OUTSIDE ON Douglas st. on Tuesday and 6 wonderful ladies came to help me up and to see if I needed help. Very grateful to each of you. Thank you for caring about someone you don't know. GOD BLESS YOU ALL,
Alex Hemi of Windsor, Ontario posted an offer of help to help cleanup where needed after the Tornado that touched down on August 24th. My moms home is surrounded by large trees and if was a mess. He came over with his chainsaw and offered his help as if he knew us.
Thank you Alex for your compassion and if you ever need anything let me know.
Just want to give a huge thank you to the staff and patrons of timmies this morning at about quarter to eleven. My daughter got stung twice by a yellow jacket and when she began to scream and cry many people offered assistance and well wishes and even checked on her when we came back. Tim Hortons employees replaced all we had to leave behind. So I just want to say thank you to everyone today.
Husband and I were sitting on Riverside in one of the parks down by the bridge last night while the Tornado touched down in Windsor and seen a small boat race down the Detroit river going east bound, Just hoping everyone on board made it to there destination safe.
Thank you Paul for helping my daughter earlier today. A quick trip to Metro to get a few things, my daughter suddenly wasn't feeling well. She was sitting down on the floor of the store, feeling like she was going to faint. She did faint and got sick while I had left her for a few moments to move my car closer to the exit doors, and when I returned he had gotten her some water and a chair and returned quickly to clean up the mess. Thank you Paul. You are awesome. I don't usually go to this store , today it was the most convenient for me. I very much appreciate all that you did for us today.
To anyone affected by the tornado this evening:
I have a pick up truck if anyone needs help moving debris.
My brother and I would like to offer any assistance to anyone affected by the tornado!

I want to send a big shout out to the nurse that works on 7 East at Windsor Regional Hospital Ouellette Campus Alisa. I cannot thank you enough for laughing with me so hard during my time in the ER with my sister. You truly helped to make this very lengthy experience a valuable stay during the turosious wait times we had last night. I was looking for you when we were leaving to update you and say goodbye but we could not locate you. First of all, I hope that your mom is doing much better now and has some relief. Secondly, thank you so much once again. You rock. How you doing? LOLOLOLOL (Our little joke) If you are on facebook, please feel free to find me and send me a request. Would love to keep in touch with you when we have difficult times. I couldn't let the day go by without recognizing you. Take care and if I ever get admitted, I will request you as my nurse :)
