Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
I spent the last 6 days in Met Hospital , I was on the 2nd floor then my baby and I was transferred to the 3rd floor. I cannot remember my discharge nurses name from the 2nd floor (but I got her twice that I was on the 2nd floor for 48 hours ) she was one of the most incredible nurses that I've met. I'm not able to do much yet, when I do I will find out who you are and make sure to give you a token of our appreciation. 3rd floor nurses especially Nurse Michelle ( hey I remember !) You are incredible, I spent 4 days on that floor and I can't bear to walk around let alone work on that floor . You guys are amazing , thank you all for what you do.
To the female driver in a black SUV parked by a grey SUV in the parking lot between the Cineplex and The Bay (@ Devonshire Mall) on Tuesday, August 30th, you have been SPOTTED by mall surveillance for what you think you got away with that evening. As you tried to park in the spot next to my vehicle, you "accidentally" swiped the left side leaving a good (and expensive!) amount of damage (a fairly large dent and scratches about 3 feet in length). Once parked, you made your way through the entrance--and, giving you the benefit of the doubt, maybe you attempted to find the owner of the vehicle. Camera footage proves the opposite. As you were leaving, you decide to check for damage on both vehicles and proceed to get in your car and drive off. Thank you. Thank you for reminding me of how karma runs its course to those who "do bad unto others". And a friendly reminder for you, my friend, when blame diminishes, guilt increases. Luckily for you, your plate couldn't be read, but Windsor police have been notified. So next time, please make sure you at least pass your parking tests or don't park at all, especially near stationed objects.
Last Saturday we were walking back from the corn festival and my daughter tossed her sunglasses and hat out of the wagon- I know it is a long shot, but I was wondering if anyone has spotted them along Micheal Street, or St. Thomas or Lacasse Park.
I just want to let everyone know that today while at Costco I was receiving information from an employee. My youngest daughter started with a nose bleed. This young man went searching for paper towel to clean her up. He even went as far as to get me a bottle of water to clean all the blood off of her. He helped out and I truly appreciate all your help today. I know of a couple people that work there so I'm hoping one of you will show this too him. I did not catch his name. Thank you again for all your help today.
During a walk out with my son, we saw a fire truck sitting outside a home. (Thankfully it wasn't an emergency). My son was obviously in his glory and excited to see it. A few firemen walk towards us and invited us to take a look and explore the truck. They allowed us to look around, take pictures, show us things, turn on the lights. Etc. They were so nice, helpful and very patient. Big thank you goes out to those men and the lasalle fire department for allowing these moments to happen!! You made my sons night... :)
I just wanted to say thank you to Nurse Kim at Windsor Regional hospital Ouellette campus on 7 th floor West. You are an excellent nurse who took care of our mother and likely saved her life with your attention to detail. Without your excellent care our mother may not have received the attention from doctors she needed and ultimately the transfer to ICU. From the bottom of our hearts we wish you the best and just thought you deserved to be recongized for a job well done!
I was yesterday at the dragon park at around 7:30pm and found a car key, my number 519 566 7631 when you call you will have to describe the key
Unfortunately there is no end to the depravity of some people in this city. On Friday evening I was with my best friend at his office setting up for my stag party and doing some photography. We left the building at around 10pm, put a bunch of photography equipment in the back room and locked up both front and back doors. We returned around 3am to find the back door had been kicked in and all of my equipment had been stolen along with a monitor and a router.
This happened between Friday 1030pm and 3am Saturday the 27th at 950 Ottawa street between the autoshop and gas station and parent, across the street from 7/ 11
If anyone has any information please contact me by email, or the police. The case number is 2016-61967. If you were the perpetrator, and if you return the items to me I will forego pressing charges.
