Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
Last week on Monday December 5th my sister and I went to Superstore on Dougall to print out some pictures of all the kids to put in my Mother's casket. Unbeknownst to me I left my purse in the picture making machine. The next morning I awoke to 2 missed calls from a number I didn't recognize as well as a voicemail. When I checked it there was a message from a lady telling me that I needed to call. Once I did I quickly realized what I had done. Later on that night after the funeral I went to pick up my purse and was told that "Angela from Hot Deli" had found it and put it in the office. Everything was untouched. So I just wanted to send a big Thank You to Angela from Hot Deli for turning it in and you have been Spotted.
Today I took my grandchildren to Tecumseh Mall to see Santa. On the way out we stopped in to the Showcase store. The young woman in line in front of me asked if she could buy my grandchildren a small stuffed animal they were admiring. I was shocked and taken aback at this kind gesture. I read about these things but you are never ready when it happens to you. I thanked her and wished her Merry Christmas, my grandchildren love them! I want you to know that I dropped a toy off at the fire dept. to pay it forward. Thanks again for your generosity!
This cute, super friendly little cat showed up in our garage a couple days ago. We're convinced it's an indoor cat, and belongs to someone. It's extremely soft and well looked after but has no tags or collar. Please contact me if you know who it belongs to.
As I woke to my first hurdle of the day, the shovelling of the heavy snowfall... as inwork d toward the end of the my driveway, th king how on earth will I have the strength to move the ice load, the city trucks left behind. When down the road coming what I thought was another city truck, as he got closer I noticed he wasn't a city worker, just a man on a tractor helping clean his neighborhood streets. I'm sure he seen my look of exhaustion and without a thought swooped in and removed the mountain of exhaustion, whoever you are in Riverside on St Paul, your the best!!! Thank you so much!!!!
Today December 12th at the Dollarama at Tecumseh and Rivard I had bought some items and was at the register to pay. The cashier told me the total and when I went to pay with my debt card I couldn't find it in my purse. I felt bad because I was holding up the line looking for my debit card. The gentleman behind me said my mother does that too and then said what does she need to the cashier. When she replied I couldn't pay because I was looking for my bank card he said I'll pay for it. I told him no it was ok I will pay when I find my card, he said it was ok he would get it then was going to pay with his credit card but was told the store doesn't except credit cards. He said" I tried" then left the store and I told the cashier I wouldn't be able to pay till I found my card. I was told that they would hold my items for awhile till I found my card. I was leaving the store and to my surprise the gentleman returned and told me to come back in the store and he would pay for my items I told him he didn't have to but he said he wanted to and to consider it a Christmas gift. I asked his name and he said Santa. To you sir you touched my heart with your kindness and I want you to know you have been spotted.
Thank you to the 2 men driving down Queen Elizabeth this morning around 8:45am in a cub cart with a plow. As you approached the Stop sign you noticed me struggling to shovel all the slush/ snow mix the plow had left me from the storm. I want to THANK YOU both from the bottom of my Heart for stopping & taking time to clear away most of that crap for me. I would probably still be there clearing it if you didn't stop. What a Wonderful start to what could have been a Horrible Monday morning. THANK YOU BOTH MAY GOD BLESS YOU FOR YOUR KINDNESS & MERRY CHRISTMAS
