We had a birthday party for my son at Zap Zone on Lauzon Rd. on Saturday Feb. 25th. You saw my husband come in with a birthday cake and came up to him asking him if we were having a party. When he said yes you gave him a voucher for a discount off of a party. You were not a worker there. He thanked you and came into the room to show me. He wanted to find you again and give you half of what the voucher was worth but kids started coming in and we got distracted. I thought what a thoughtful gesture. What you don't know is that two days before I lost a very good friend to cancer. It took all I had to put on a smile and give my son the happy day he deserved. She would have wanted me to do that. It was a tough day but you showed me how there is still good in this world. She was so giving and caring and spent many birthdays with us. I felt like she brought your kindness to us. So thank you for that. For making my day and helping bring a smile to my face. She asked for donations to be made to hospice in her name. I am going to add the amount you gave us to our donation. So not only did you give to us but you are giving to her memory as well. Thank you lady in white with a little girl with you. That's the only description my husband had. You have been spotted. You made my day brighter and gave me faith that there are good, generous, caring people out there even though the world had lost one of the best.
Today, Monday February 27th, I was a part of a family members funeral procession. We travelled up Ouellette to Eugenie, then to Howard going to Windsor Memorial Gardens. I have never seen such disrespect from drivers in this city in my whole life. We had multiple cars drive through the procession without a care in the world almost causing accidents, on Eugenie we had a car actually pull over from the right lane into our lane between our cars and drove between us so they could go straight, and then going up Howard right before division we again had muliple cars pull in and drive BETWEEN our cars in the funeral procession actually at one time while weaving in causing an accident between two of our family members who then had to pull over and check their cars for damage. And let me tell you something else...before we reached the mall area I didn't observe not one person pull their car over to the side of the road while we drove. I honestly can't believe what I saw today. It was the most dangerous funeral procession I have ever been a part of and I am disgusted and the level of disrespect that these drivers had today. Let's do better people! Have some respect for the dead and the people in mourning.
To the man in the black truck at the Walker Rd. and Wyandotte Tim Hortons.
Thank you for paying for my coffee! I had such an awful night and a very difficult morning and your kindness is so greatly appreciated. I honked to you at the lights and tried to thank you but I think you may have thought I was honking at you to go lol!
Thank you again. ❤
My son recently lost his wallet, however did not realize he had lost it. He goes back and forth between my house and his dad's so he assumed he had just left it at hid dad's place. Last night his dad called to tell him that someone had just dropped off my sons wallet that he had found. He obviously was able to see the address on his drivers license. I am impressed with the kindness and honestly of this person. He didn't get your name but thank you so much ! You have saved my son the hassle of renewing all of his identification. Thank you for taking the time out to return it. You have been spotted.
While driving home today (Saturday Feb25) I came to the intersection of Banwell and E.C. Row. A funeral procession had just begun on their green light.
When the light changed to red nobody moved but allowed the rest of the procession to proceed through not just one but two red lights.
Not one person honked out of impatience, everyone going every direction just waited patiently, respectfully.
So to all of you who were at that intersection today, because respectable human beings, you've been spotted.
