Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
WOW...I am totally impressed by the wonderful and thoughtful deed that Rachel is doing along our street right now. So here is what transpired. Every Friday or so, we get The Star Review paper thrown on our driveway, or in our yard or thrown in a puddle, I think you get the idea. Well today was no different, same paper thrown in our driveway half way out of its plastic wrapper. Annoying as all heck as we can't read the LaSalle blotter if it's all wet. So just now our doorbell rings, I send my barking dogs to their room, and a girl is peering through our side window. I'm thinking, OK, what are they selling today. So I answer the door. She smiles and hands me the paper, fully inside the plastic, and says, here you go, with a beautiful smile. I say thanks and watch her put on her helmet, hop on her trike, and head down the road. I watched her go to another neighbours house, who had a paper in the driveway. She parked her bike, took off her helmet, picked up the paper and delivered it to them. WOW is all I can say. I did run out and asked her name so that I could let everyone know it. I even gave her a thank you prize! How freaking awesome! Way to go Rachel!
Just a huge thank you to the lady in front of me at Rccs on walker about 4:30pm on March 3rd that paid for my groceries. We just let you in front of us because your arms were full and you needed a bar to separate your order. That was not necessary but appreciated you were spotted.
While out with my mom and sister on Thursday, March 3rd We went to Value Village on Tec. Rd in the East End. As usual after walking in the store I noticed something I wanted to check out. I put my purse in a cart and thinking my mom and sister would use that same cart walked over to check out the item that caught my eye. Turns out we didn't use the same cart so my purse was left in the first one. After shopping for about an hour we proceeded to check out, only to notice my purse was not there. Well needless to say My Heart dropped and Panic set in. All my cash, cards and id were in my purse. Someone must have heard my trouble and in No Time the Store Manager came to talk to me. It turns out A Very Honest and Considerate Lady had turned in my purse. This Big Hearted and Kind Women did not stay around so I could Thank her from the bottom of my heart. So that being said I am posting this message hoping she or someone she has shared this kind thing she has done will see this. I Thank You for Your Kindness and Honesty Wishing you all The Best Sincerely Karen McVittie
To the woman at the Wendy's on Howard and grand Maris in a black pick up truck thank you for paying for my order you made my day and I will pay it forward. Hello, on February 5th ,2017 I lost my wedding ring that I have had for less than a year. It was a little loose on me however due to recent pregnancy I had not resized yet as my fingers were slightly swollen. It was lost around Bruce and University. I was taking my daughter out of the car and it must have slipped without me feeling it. It has huge sentimental value and I'm willing to offer a very good reward for anyone who is kind enough to return it. Police Report has been filed and I keep frantically checking listings and checking with pawn shops on a daily basis to see if it was sold or found. Please if anyone has any information, contact me. Thank you so much! Picture of the ring is attached
I'd like to say thank you to the man from Industrial Tool and Supply who took the time out of his busy day to help me. I had stopped to get gas at walker rd and north talbot and after I paid realized I locked my keys in the car. After trudging inside the store to make the dreaded phone call to see if there was a spare set, this nice man came in and told me the other door was open. He had gotten out of his van and took the time to check the other doors, something I had failed to do, and found the back door to be open!! He saved me so much time and embarrassment. This makes me realize that there are still nice, helpful people in this world. Thank you so much.
I was walking into the Zehrs on Malden road Tuesday, February 28th and noticed that a woman had dropped a watermelon out of her cart into the parking lot. She picked up the watermelon and was standing in the parking lot when a male worker came out and said he saw her drop the watermelon and he would be right back with a new one. Once inside I noticed that this gentleman seemed to be on his lunch as he was sitting in the dining area near the hot deli. I'm not sure what the company policy is however, this man was on his break and came to her aid before she had a chance to decide what to do. I wanted to say thank you for your kind heart. It made my day to see you care about a fellow human being when you definitely were not obligated to do this as you were on your break. You sir, have been spotted.
When I started my car this morning there was a horrible clanking noise. Being a senior and recent widow I had no idea what to do and I did not want to drive it very far. I live in Lasalle and decided I would drop in to Reaume auto on front street. I drive a Toyota and was not sure they would do anything as they sell Chevy products. Well they came out told me it was an exhaust plate that was broken and they would weld it right then for no charge. I am absolutely floored by their kindness! Going to take them some homemade pecan tarts tomorrow for thanks. Bless you.
