Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
On April 4th around 10am-11am at the Zehrs in Tecumseh near manning road. My grandma collapsed from a massive heart attack as she walked in the Zehrs. I have heard a few stories about what happened. There was a customer near by who tried to help that was a nurse. I would love to thank this women for trying to help my grandma for staying with my gram until ems arrived and thank you for performing cpr. If anyone knows who this was please show her this and let her know my Whole family thanks you very much for everything you did. Second I want to thank all the employees working at Zehrs that day. I heard many stories of many people trying to help and also helping protect my grandmas dignity. You surrounded her With love and I can't thank you enough. Everything Zehrs has done for us is above and beyond what we expected. Thank you for all for your kindness and love. Many of you even stopped by to pay your respect tonight at the funeral. I know that day was hard on all of you and I appeircate everything you have done for us. Zehrs in Tecumseh You have been spotted in a big way. And I hope many people read what an amazing company you are and what an amazing group of employees you have. Much love.
What a miserable night(April 6th). I was tired, cold and soaked from the walk to my car after work, so I decided to treat my kids to pizza for supper.
After dodging potholes and puddles in the parking lot I made my way into the Domino's store on Wyandotte. The young man behind the counter served me quickly and, noticing that I was struggling to walk with my cane, picked up my pizzas and asked if he could bring them out to the car for me. He held the door open and even though it was raining he waited patiently for me to shuffle over to my parking spot.
Thank you very much for making my day a little bit easier!
To the nice lady in a hot looking black Mazda 3 who paid for my tea this morning, thanks for the sweet gesture, I hope you have a great day too!! :)
Just wanted to warm others, there have been a number of vehicle & garage break ins in the area of South Windsor, between Huron Line & Dominion, off Labelle street the past couple nights around 2am. Windows being smashed, etc. Make sure to bring valuables inside, leave outdoor lights on as there are no/ very little street lights in the area, report any late night wanderers and keep an eye out, secure vehicles & garages, etc. If you have surveillance make sure they are running and notify cops if you see anything. Thanks.
While my boyfriend was working he found a ring on the job site. It looks to be like a mans wedding band size 10 maybe even 11. He was working around Jo Janisse area in Windsor. if you have lost or know someone that might of lost one please comment.
This is a notice to Lakeshore Discovery School (on IC Roy) and your parents.
It baffles me that grown adults lack the forethought to see a disaster in the making and refuse to follow the rules and signs posted for YOUR Children's safety. You continue to use the bus lane as a drop off for your children. In and of itself that doesn't seem like a bad thing to do. However, in doing so you blatantly disregard all signs and rules. You cut off and block in buses that are dropping off other peoples children. You block traffic and make U-turns causing dangerous situations. Other drivers have to dodge your illegal stops and blind turns into oncoming traffic. You are a menace on the road and when the people in the right honk or make questioning gestures you seem to think that you are being wronged and make rude gestures in return. All I'm asking is that you use your God given brains and think before you hurt one their child.
Before anyone comments, I have contacted the School Board, the school (numerous times) and the OPP more times than I can count. I am hoping that this will reach the parents and administration of Lakeshore Discovery School and things will change. However, I don't think I'll hold my breath.
A FRUSTRATED PARENT OF A STUNDENT THAT HAS TO DRIVE PAST THESE PEOPLE EVERYDAY!!!!
This morning around 6:30am at the timmies drive thru/ gas station at the corner of manning and CR#46, a man in red truck hit our car and smashed in the front fender. Firstly this man, which I use the term loosely, swore and blamed my husband who was not even moving at the time. He then proceeded to drive, my husband assumed he was parking to exchange insurance info. Nope. He drove through the gas station and took off. It all happened so fast we did not get the make/ model or plate number. Cops said there's not much we can do unless we have something to go on. If anybody witnessed this happen please comment so we can chat. I want to find this loser and make sure he doesn't pull this crap on anyone else.
To the sexy brown haired girl who took my difficult order with the churros with extra cinnamon, not only did you get everything perfect but we shared a look and a smile, if by chance you see this hit I'd love to get to know you!
