Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
April 10 wasn't the best of days. Car issues that will cost me close to 1200. Bills stacked on my desk at home that I still have to sort. My daughter has decided to move back in with her mother after 5 years with me. My dog isn't doing well and I might have a tough choice to make in the next couple months.
I was having a horrible day, and all I wanted to do is go do some grocery shopping and go home and sleep. While I was shopping up and down every aisle it seemed another woman was going the opposite direction down every aisle I was walking up. After about 4 times crossing paths I asked if she wants to swap shopping lists since we have crossed paths the last 4-5 aisle. She laughed and I continued shopping, and once again the next aisle I saw her again and this time she said "we really have to stop meeting like this” jokingly, she laughed as she continued going. I thought this was fun but a little creepy and I don't want her to think I'm following her on purpose so I went over 2 aisles instead of just one(plus I didn't want to go down the dog food aisle.) I turned the corner after skipping an aisle and there she was, coming from the other end of the aisle. The whole way until we met half way we were dying of laugher. I told her I didn't want her to think I'm following her so I decided to skip an aisle. She laughed and said I assume you don't have pets either. I stopped and said I actually do but also didn't want to go down the aisle because my dog isn't doing very well and I didn't want to walk down the aisle. She smiled and said "and here I thought it was because you wanted to pass by me again". We talked a little bit more standing in the aisle as people maneuvered around us and you thanked me for making your day. You said you have had a rough day and you really needed that smile. I thanked you too but didn’t tell you how bad I needed that smile too. SO Thank You, I really needed to smile too!
Sunday April 9 at Colasanti’s, was my kids Lucks day!!
I would like the give a huge shout out to a very sweet lady and another awesome guy today at Colasanti's
The guy ( with 3 little ladies) came out with all his winning tickets equal to 368 and gave it to me for my 3 girls , this was way too sweet From you and my girl went crazy happy . Thank you so very much
At the end of the day another very sweet lady came out to me saying here is more tokens for your kids to play, we had enough playing today. The kids couldn’t be happier adding more to there almost done coins. Not only this after she was done she came back with her winning tickets again and handed it to add it on the other tickets we got. This was beyond awesome today, and I have thanked them in person but wants to give them a huge shout out with a heart full of love to them, it makes me so happy to see people with a beautiful soul and generous heart.
These kind of acts teaches my kids lots, they learned life is not about taking all the time, it’s always more beautiful to give back as well.
My 3 girls got to choose 3 things each for the total of 1120 tickets, it was a day they will never forget.
Thank you so very much you have spotted today for your kindness and love ❤❤
The Lady with the Round eyeglasses 🙂
On Friday, April 7th, 2017 my son, dog, and I were at McKee Park. The park by the base of the Ambassador Bridge. While there, I had been taking pictures. Between getting our stuff put into our rides car and getting home, my camera was gone. It's a cheap, white Kodak Easyshare Camera.
Honestly, I am not too worried about getting the camera back. All I want is the memory card inside. It holds pictures of my deceased Mother, my son as a baby, many memories that I do not want to lose. I am desperate to get these back!! These memories cannot be replaced. Please if you come across this camera, please let me know! I don't know what else to do. Thank you for your time in reading this.

Thanks to the 3 kind and thoughtful shoppers at Costco who let me go to the front of the line with my bag of milk. Little did they know that this was my third time in line!
I had already put a full day in at work, and then went to Essex to pick up my sister who doesn't drive to bring her back into Windsor for a Costco run. I expected to just sit and relax as I waited for her. After checking my phone my other sister messages me asking me to pick up some things for her too. So I go ahead and get her things, cash out and come back to wait for my other sister. After she cashes out she realized she forgot milk. So I go treaking to the back of the store, get the milk and get in the shortest line. One couple after another say 'oh go ahead you only have one thing'. Was very very thankful for all their kindness and said to them all, "I am putting you all on Spotted in Windsor for this". Will definitely pay it forward when I can! Thanks again.
Are you a member of the Burdick family, either by birth or marriage? I have been doing my family genealogy, and the Burdicks are prominent in my family line (I was born a Burdick) . I am of the part of the Burdick family who resided in Alberta, via Nebraska, and silly me, did not even think that there might be Burdicks in this area. However I am pleasantly surprised to find that yes, there were and hopefully still are Burdicks in London, Windsor, Tecumseh and Kingsville, and Leamington. There are many other places in Ontario that Burdicks have or still reside as well.
I would like to get together with those of the Burdick family who are interested in finding out where on the tree we all are. Since all Burdicks in North America stem from one person, Robert Burdick the Elder of Rhode Island, USA in 1651, all current day Burdicks are related. How is what we can find out. Which of Robert's sons are our direct lines.
If you are a Burdick, through birth or marriage, please contact me @ lorijoannjerome@gmail.com and we can set up a day for all of us to get together.
At 10:07am I pulled over to make a phone call as per the law. Then a Windsor ticket girl came up to me with an attitude and told me to pay the meter or move. Told her I pulled over to make a phone call and she said to pay or she would give me a 20 dollar ticket. The entire street was empty at Wyandotte and Moy! Way to go! One of Windsors workers that prefers me to talk and drive then pulling over to make a call.
