Fast food customers

As a fast food worker, I have learned how ignorant customers may be. When prices change, there is a wait for their order, I always get yelled at or they make comments about us workers. I can't stress this enough that people have bad days and most fast food restaurants the workers try there absolute best to provide quick and good service so the customers are happy. Yes we may not have a "good" job but places like mcdonalds/ tim hortons are a great place to start, some people end up making it to worldwide restaurant owners etc. Many people get mad that its always kids working these restaurants and people make comments about how were just a stupid fast food worker but some of us actually work our hardest to work at these restaurants to pay for university, college, rent, phone/ car bills and unlike many people we have to work many hours to support our life making $11.40 an hour because we are just starting out! So please next time you go to a fast food restaurant, give a little more patience and realize that mistakes happen, if someone ordered a $100 order or theres a big line up or big orders yes your order may take a little time to get, but have some respect because im sure you were in our shoes at one point in your life, many of us are great kids who are full time students while working many hours to pay for our schooling, people make mistakes, if you have a problem with something theres no reason to be rude. Kindness goes a long way :)

Still hot inside car!

Today from about 3:45 (when I arived) to 4:15 (time I left) there was a small dog inside a silver van with the windows cracked slightly. This dog was there before I initially arived and still there when I left. It was overcast today, but the car was still incredibly hot when I came back outside. To the person who didn't leave their dog at home, and opted to leave him in the parking lot at the blood lab out front of met hospital, you've been spotted. Shame on you.

What this stupid Woman in her 50-60's didnt think about is that what you did is a hate crime and there are cameras everywhere in that parking lot and she has your license plate number of your black truck!!! Also as i quickly turned as you were pointed out to me you smiled the Most Evil grin and waved at the crying woman!!! You are a HORRIBLE HUMAN BEING!!! I really hope they catch you!

DO NOT LET IN YOUR HOME.

Second time in two weeks someone claiming to be from a company called Home Water Services. Both males claimed to be looking to install water filtration systems. Blue shirts logo bearing the companies name on left upper chest, badges with name tags. After stating each time to the men they were not welcome in our home they proceeded to try to open the door and negotiate their way into the house. After saying no several times, he asked "shoes off or on" I replied he could keep them on as he was not welcome in our home. Eventually brought both my mother (who dealt with the first situation and boyfriend down to help get the guy to leave) took about 20 minutes and calling the city to prove they knew nothing for him to leave. But not before going into a huge speal about how we must not care about our health because we allow ourselves to drink water with such disgusting chemicals. There has been articles online over the last few months in regards to water filtration scams as well as stuff in the Windsor star. Do not let any of them into your home.

Red light cabana/dominion

What a nightmare that light is, what makes it a dangerous spot are the cars/ trucks attempting to squeeze beside the first car in line that is trying to turn and stopped at the very thick white line as you are to do. On top of that ppl honking for you to pull up so they can get by, this is a fire stations route and they do drills all hrs of a day So no way will I pull up just cause you have little patience to wait your turn. Too many accidents/ close calls there all the time. The streets Dominion and Mt. Royal at the light are one lane streets you are to wait for the car ahead of you to go before trying to bully your way in and almost hit the other car on the opposite side that is also turning because the way is clear and these drivers can't see your turn signals/ or not behind the first car. Not only do these dumb moves make so many close calls but it is dangerous for those crossing the street, which are mostly very young school kids, that area has 3 schools in close vicinity. I'm tired of my kids coming home everyday scared because they almost got hit.

Sewers are not garbage cans.

While driving on Thursday, I saw a couple walking their dog on Dominion about a block away from Cabana. I assumed you wanted to cross the street so I stopped my vehicle and waved for you to cross. But you declined and let me go. I looked back and I saw you dump your dog's crap in the sewer. Shame.

Dogs on the loose in East Riverside

This morning (Apr. 27/ 17) at approximately 9:30am I took my two small dogs out (both on leashes) to do their morning 'business' near the walking path behind the buildings in the 87-8800 block of Riverside Dr E.
While they were finishing up I caught a quick movement from the area of Carlton Cres. and the next thing I knew two large dogs came bolting toward us. Immediately they went for my smaller dog and pinned her to the ground, a split second later one latched on to my other dog.
I screamed at the dogs in a loud tone trying not to sound panicked. They refused to let go.
I didn't want to yank my dogs leashes and cause them further harm but I also didn't want to stand there and watch these two dogs injure my dogs.
I am a dog lover and would never want to harm one, but I was forced to physically defend my dogs and myself. They backed up for a second then lunged at my dogs a second time.
I continued to yell 'NO & go on, get out of here.'
Finally they ran west down the path. I quickly reached down to assess my dogs (who had no visible wounds at a quick hands-on check.)
We headed toward my building as I felt the situation was over. I was wrong.
I heard quick steps and looked up to see the smaller of the two dogs running at us again, this time heading for me as my dogs attempted to pull toward the building.
Again I yelled as loud as I could and had to defend myself, finally they ran off again.
With heart in my throat and two very frightened shih-tzu's I headed inside and called the Humane Society.

One dog was approx. 40lbs and resembled a pit bull and I noted a collar and tags. The second one was larger, approx. 70lbs and resembled a cross Shephard & large hound with noticeable patch of fur missing on its snout (where a muzzle might sit.)

I don't have a problem with a particular 'breed' of dog, I have a problem with irresponsible pet owners!

Please people be careful on that path.
I worry for my elderly neighbours who might take their dogs out. There's no way they could defend themselves or their dogs.
