Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
My grand daughter lost her cell phone last evening. (April29) She thinks she lost it in the cab she was riding in. It is an Acer Liquid Z630. The battery has probably gone dead by now. The service has been shut off. If you are a cab driver who worked last night or you found this phone last evening can you please contact me at 226 674 2640. Like all of our youth she needs it more for the pictures and info it holds.
To the mother double riding her child on the sidewalk on her E-bike
around the Tecumseh rd/ central area on Friday April 28 midafternoon-early evening. You ma'am are not very smart.
I just wanted to thank the lady that helped my daughter yesterday when she fell in the Ambassador Plaza on Friday night. She was in pain and scared and you stayed to reassure her. You called me to come get her and you helped her stay calm. She did not break her ankle, just severely sprained..she is bummed she can't participate in the soccer tournament today; but the outcome could have been much worse. Ruth and daughter, you have both been spotted and I thank you!
I hope you have many blessing come your way~
We parked in a handicapped Spot at Canadian Tire on Walker Road between 3:00 and 3:30 PM Friday April 28, 2017 right in front of store (We have a permit on visor).
When we came out we found deep scratches on driver side quarter panel, and both doors.
I figure who ever did this didn't see the permit and figured they would be a hero. I was driving my mother's car (with her) who has had 2 back surgeries and was given the permit from her physician.
Just a reminder to people not to jump to conclusions...this is an expensive & vindictive assumption to make on an innocent person.
Thank you to the women in the black Equinox in the drive thru at McDonald s on Manning road yesterday at approx. 1:30 pm, who paid for my order. It restores my faith in mankind when someone's does something nice for a person they do not know. Thanks again for your generosity- it made my day and I will pay it forward.😃
To the driver who hit my 13 yr old nephew around 10 AM on Saturday the 29th at Wyandotte and Pilliser. I hope you are proud of yourself. Not only did you hit him, but you didn't get out and make sure he was okay. No, you just rolled down ypur window and ask if he was okay, reversed to avoid his bike you knocked him off of and then took off. Would you be okay if you just got knocked off your bike by a car? I dont think so. As an adult or driver you should have gotten out and called an ambulance or his parents (he knows our numbers). He is now at the hospital waiting for xrays for his leg that has swollen up like a balloon. So to the driver of the newer (2015-16) Red Dodge Caravan, you are an inconsiderate person. However, if you do manage to read this, a police report is being made and the traffic cameras will be checked. So to whoever you Are, you WILL NOT get away with it. If pulling a HIT AND RUN made you feel Good, it won't last for long.
The other night the people who live near me in the 3600 block of Longfellow had a big fire going, as they do several times each year starting around this time every weekend/ holiday. I can tell its an open air fire (not legal within the city) but being neighbourly I just let it be, however the next day after this fire I noticed burn marks on my lawn. I know you can report this and I will the next time this occurs (I think its 311 I call), how they can be so careless and uncaring about the safety of their neighbours really bothers me, not to mention its breaking the Law.
To the amazing man who helped my mother this week. Please accept my heartfelt thanks. When my mother fainted in Rexall parking lot on Wednesday afternoon you did the most amazing act of kindness by helping her get back on her feet and settling her into her car. Thank you so much. You can't imagine how much it means to our family to know that kind people still exist in our city!
