Zehrs on Malden

I just wanted to say thanks to some of the staff at Zehrs on Malden Rd. I was with my 4 year old daughter getting groceries and felt like I was going to pass out while in line at the check out. Unfortunately, I didn't get anyone's name but I wanted to say thanks to the employee at the register for being quick with assistance, the employee in the wine store for talking with my daughter, distracting her and keeping her calm and to the employee who got me a glass of juice, bagged my groceries and stayed with me until my husband got there. Your kindness, concern and help was much appreciated!

Thank you for the pizza!!

My kids were hauling out drywall and flooded stuff to the dumpster when a lady stopped and asked if we got flooded. My daughter said yes and the lady said a moment returned to her vehicle and returned with a pizza said have a nice day and left. We have no idea who she was but we assume an angel. We have been offered help by friends and neighbours which we are more than grateful for. The good lord must have sent this one because my husbands favourite thing to eat is PIZZA. THANK YOU LADY FOR YOUR HEART! And thank you to our other friends

Thank you for helping with our Flat

Went school shopping with my hubby and three girls today and had to hit many stores looking for shoes for my oldest.  Well our very last stop was marshalls and we got the girl shoes, but when we got back to our car one tire was flat to the ground.  A very nice man came up to us after a few minutes of waiting for my dad to come with an air pump and asked us if we would like to use his and got the tire full so we could get home! We would have been waiting around atleast a half hour for my dad.  Thank you to this man you have been spotted! So thankful he took the time out of his busy day to help us get on the road and home again!

A Shout out to GFL/WDS

As many people have posted on this site regarding the recent flood and cleanup in the area, no one has commented on the people from GFL/ WDS who are busting their butts to pick all this waste up. These are NOT city employees and believe me they do not earn top dollar. Some are working up to 15 hours to get the job done. So as you are tossing all the flood damaged items to the road, remember there is some consideration to be given to the guy (yes it usually is one guy) who is disposing this heavy waste.

Excellent care

Yesterday I was stung by a bee, hasn't happened in over 30 yrs so didn't bother to get an EpiPen as they usually just land on me sit for a minute and fly away.  Needless to say this bee was a hit and run didn't even leave a stinger thankfully or things could have been much worse.  As my husband drove around to every West end clinic they were all closed until the 4th.  20 minutes later  we made it to Hotel dieu Ouellette campus.  Within 2 minutes I was hooked up to iv and epi administered.  I want to tell Dr. Thomas and her perfect team of nurses and respiratory specialist.  That you have been spotted.  I am not sure all that happened as the anaphylactic shock hit hard and I don't remember much other than you saying it will be ok you are where you need to be.  2 hours later I was home safe, alive and sleeping.

Thank you so much

Thank you such a great community

Hubby and I decided to make our hearts happy and do what we could to help the ones who were affected by the flooding in the Alix Sinkevitch Townhouse. Off we went to pick up much needed back to school supplies for the children. While shopping we decided to pick up a crib mattress too because we noticed on a news clip one mother drying out a mattress for her child. I want to give a big thank you to the manager Ramiel and assistant Ashley at the Walmart on Tecumseh for their generous gift of the free crib mattress greatly appreciated.

I also want to say how pleased I was to see how many kind generous people who were there dropping off much needed items. You are what makes our city so great. The true meaning of being caring angels. So heartbreaking to see how much devastation this flood has caused to so many people in our city .

Way to go Naples Pizza!

So this happened, Around 1pm this afternoon I was loading garbage bags of my destroyed items to my front lawn.  At this point there is probably 50 bags and my laminate flooring, when a Naples Pizza delivery van pulls alongside my driveway and hands me this pizza! FREE!!  She says they are driving through neighborhoods and giving to those cleaning due the water loss and wanted to help make the day a bit better.  So in tears I graciously accepted, she gave me a hug and told me to hang in there!!! How awesome is that?? Thank you Naples Pizza!
